Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
Random Death Match, or RDM, is whenever someone shoots or kills someone with no reason. E.g. A player recently bought a shipment of sniper rifles and decides to become the Hitman job. No one is placing hits so he decides to climb to a secluded location (whether it is in a building or behind a bush). He gets board and pulls out a sniper rifle from his inventory, and shoots at random. Even if he does not kill, this is still considered RDM.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
New Life Rule, or NLR, is a rule to prevent a player from returning to their death point, allowing the person who killed them time to raid, build, or whatever they were doing. NLR works by putting a timer over an entire district when a player dies. E.g. A player (Player A) owns a base and another player (Player B ) comes to raid. Player A manages to kill the raider, securing his base. Player B must not return to Player A's base since Player B died in the district where Player A's base stands.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Metagaming deals with a player going beyond the games limit, and also how a player should execute what they would like to say in chat. E.g. Player B returns to Player A's base, breaking NLR. Player B kills Player A and steals his printers and such. Player A gets frustrated and types, "/advert PLAYER B NLR ADMIN ADMIN ADMIN TO ME." He should not have used advert, as it is for RP only. He should have used F1.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
I would listen to both player's sides of the story and give them ample time to explain themselves. I would listen for dead giveaways that one is lying (changing their mind too much, yelling at staff and player, keeps saying to ban, kick, or keeps ordering staff around). I would also look for other clues, like if one has NLR or one keeps getting warned for RDM, and if one was mugging or raiding another. Also, I would check for player damage, and see if player y killed player x out of and an act of self-defense. Depending on the above, if player y complies or admits he did RDM in a polite manner, I would most likely give him a verbal warning, and if he RDM's again, he will have to be warned.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
I would pull both player's aside and hear both sides. I'd make sure that there wasn't any confusion and also I would be looking for dead giveaways (mentioned above). If player x first killed player y and then player y ran back to player x, yes, player y is breaking NLR, which will result in a warning. After the sit, I would return player x and make sure player y knows what he did, and then return him as well.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
I would go to player x and if he is being raided by cops, I would pull them to the side and explain to them that they are not allowed to raid a bankers bank, as it is legal for him and other people to store printers in there. If it being raided by a raidable class (thief, gangster, etc.), I would allow them to continue their raid. I would also explain to player x that OOC is not for admin request, and he should use F1 next time.
Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words).
I normally play at weird times in the day, so it isn't unusual to not see an admin or moderator online. Most recently, I've also noticed that when a staff isn't online, normally on Server 3, players think that rules don't apply, and they should be a complete minge. I would not only aid in simple disputes, but I would rarely execute punishments. I want to ensure a well maintained DarkRP server and give all players the chance to enjoy the game.
Thank you for checking out my application.
Thanks,
