[ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario. Explanation: Random Death Match is when someone randomly kills another player for no reason, or no rp reason. Scenario: An example of this would be a hitman killing a player with no hit on them. Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario. Explanation: New Life Rule also known as NLR is when a player returns to the location of which they have died in before the timer is done. Scenario: An example of this would be a player getting raided and killed, and tries to run back as fast as possible to kill the raider. Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario. Explanation: Metagaming is when you use outside information for rp related things. Scenario: An example of this would be if someone were to say in OOC "There is someone basing in _____district, come help me raid it" Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x. Well I would first ask for both sides of the story to see if they want to bend the story first. And then I would continue to ask Player Y "why did you kill him?", and if it was a legitimate RP reason to kill him I would explain it to Player X. If it wasn't a legitimate reason to kill him I would explain to Player Y what he did, then followed by a warn. Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time. In this situation I would ask Player Y if he knew what NLR was, if he didn't I would explain to him what it is and what he can't do in that period of time, then let him off with a verbal warning. If he did know what it was I would explain why I would have to punish him. Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided I would explain how OOC stands for Out Of Character and please do not metagame, and after that I would type metagame is when you use Out Of Character information for RP use. If you need an admins help please use F1. Admin Promotion Related Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user). If it was a defiant user I would explain him the rules to which ever one he broke, and link him to it, if he is still defiant I would explain the rule thoroughly with every detail. If he was still defiant and if there was a upper rank online I would ask them to come explain it to the user because sometimes people don't like to listen to moderators but will listen to an admin+ If you had to write a facebook post to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp? I would first start off with the title as "How to become a moderator and be good at it" then explain what you should and should not do in situations, I would give them examples of hard and easy situations and how to handle them. Give them practice situations like in the moderator app. I would also state in there that you should not exploit any glitches or things that were not meant to be in the game, I would also explain to them what is considered abusing and explain to them how to keep their cool in situations and to not get heated in a admin situation. Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be? I would try to add them on steam to privately talk to them, and if they accept I would remind them of what they did and why I banned them. And if he sincerely apologizes and explains to me how he has changed then I would accept the ban appeal and unban him. If he came at me with a rude attitude I would ask for him to be a little more respectful and tell him that if he does I might lower it to a few weeks depending on how bad the propspam was. 2 week's ago application: zarpgaming.com/index.php/forum/server-ap...wraith-s-application Last week's application: zarpgaming.com/index.php/forum/server-ap...wraith-s-application Why I should be chosen: I believe I should be chosen because I have already proved I can be trusted with powers and I plan on being on everyday for as long as I can, and I have done this so far for the past 2 weeks. I believe I should also be chosen because there is masses of rulebreakers on server 3 when there aren't any staff on, I'm usually on when there aren't any staff. This week I also came across the guy that broke nlr like 5 times. I then called a staff member to me using the F1 system and no one responded for 5 mins and I decided to message kingpin personally. He then decided to ignore that because he was "tired of F1's." Unlike him I would not have a lack of motivation to clean the server and make it more fun for players to play properly without rulebreakers ruining rp. Here are some examples of what I go through while playing, its also gotten to the point where I stopped making report requests because my 11 people request has still not been dealt with. Which is here. P.S. I still have permission from Red to apply again. Thanks for reading! Sincerely, Brother Zachery Wraith |
