How would you handle a TS3 appeal?
Firstly I would look at the thread and make sure that it is valid and that it follows the template correctly and gives the information that is required for me to carry out the unban appeal. Then I would review the evidence and read over the story that has been provided, meanwhile judging how sorry the player is and what their attitude is like. Once I have read through the application, then I will fully review the evidence if there is any to form my own judgement on the situation before talking to the staff member that banned them. Then I would talk to the staff member that banned the user, and we would talk over the situation and what happened, the users overall attitude of the user in question and obviously whether they should be unbanned from the server. Once I have got the opinion from the staff member about the situation I will then decide the best course of action based on what the user has done and depending how long they have been banned from the Teamspeak. My reply to a user who was apologetic would be as the following shows;
Thank you for spending the time to create an appeal for the communities team speak. I appreciate that you have spent time to make this appeal. Firstly I would like to say that you seem very apologetic for your actions and I'm glad of this. I have spoken to the staff member that has banned you and we have come to the conclusion that you should be unbanned from the team speak. Please remember that when you have been unbanned that you follow the terms of use when using the server. See you around buddy!
Explain some of the administrative features of TS3 and when they're used
appropriately.
There are a fair few new commands that a team speak head admin has compared to normal team speak staff. These commands allow the head admin to assist staff and users in more ways than a normal team speak staff member. I will explain some of the most important commands;
Firstly a TS head admin will have the ability to add TS3 staff to users. This can be used in many scenarios, but mainly when someone has received a promotion and then need their new rank. The TS3 Head Admin can then train a new staff member after they have given someone their new rank. This command is very useful and allows for staff to get quick training after promotions. A TS3 Head Admin is experienced and so can train a new staff member with ease. This is appropriate to be used when someone has received a promotion. This command can also be used to remove someones rank, this is normally used when someone has resigned and is no-longer in need of the rank. This can also be used if someone has been mass abusing when an owner isn't on to talk to them and should only be used to remove a rank in extreme circumstances of staff abuse.
Another command that the TS3 Head Admin receives is the unban command, and they can unban any user that has been banned. This is only for use if an unban appeal has been accepted on the forums on a user which is currently banned. Once a user has had a ban appeal accepted then a Head Admin can then use their unban command to unban the user from the server so that they can then rejoin. A Head Admin can see all the bans through the unban menu and can then unban people from there using their powers that they have gained through the promotion.You can see that I have explained how I would handle an appeal from a user.
What would I do different with my new powers? (we recommend around 50 words).
Well, if I was given the promotion to TS3 Head Admin it would allow me to help the TS even more than I can now, with my current rank. I would be able to handle appeals for the TS, which being a forum global mod is easier than ever. This would make the TS even better and things would happen much faster and more efficiently with the help of another TS staff member. I could also use my new commands to help train people, this would take more pressure of the owners and the current head admin as they would be assisted with such tasks. Finally I would be able to handle abuse reports on the forums and actually on the server, managing the team speak team which is relatively large compared to other servers within the community. Also in a dire circumstance I would be able to remove staff from abusing staff members on the team speak. These commands would allow me to improve the team speak and assist in the running of the server further and more effectively.
I feel that I should be chosen for the promotion because I am a very active staff member that is very dedicated to the server, with being staff for nearly a year now. This shows my dedication and time that I have put into the server. I am also a very trusted member of the community, this is due to the fact that I own 2 servers within the community these being BHOP and TTT. This shows my trust as I hold the highest rank on half of the communities servers, where I am trusted to manage the server and the staff team for the server. I also hold high power ranks on SSRP and the forums. This shows my trust and dedication to the community, and I believe that I would be as good fit for the role. I am also very experienced with staffing on servers and taking on high power roles within the community and I feel that I could take this promotion in my stride in a further attempt to improve the team speak.
