Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.

Random Death Match(RDM) is when one players kills another without a valid RP reason.
Example: A hobo is building a base when another player decides to shoot that hobo. There is no valid role playing reason for the hobo to be killed in that situation therefore it's classed as RDM.


Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.

New Life Rule(NLR) is a rule in place to stop players interacting with their previous life after death. There is a 3 minute timer which is shown at the top of the screen which informs the players of when they can return to the district they died in. The districts are clearly marked as there's a tunnel between each district and it tells you at the bottom of the screen the name of the district you're in.

Example: A player is killed next to the banker, he decides he wants revenge and goes back to the district he died in before the 3 minute NLR timer is up. He's then interacting with his previous life by 1. Looking for revenge and 2. Returning to the district he died in.


Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.

Metagaming is when a player gives or asks for information which his role play character could not have gained through general gameplay.

Example: A player is having his base raided, he then uses OOC to call for help. This is giving players information they wouldn't have normally gained and therefore Metagaming.


Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.

I'd start off by getting both players side of the story as there could be a valid reason for the death.
If both stories differ and player y claims to have a valid reason I'd then ask player x to respond to player y's reason. If an agreement can't be made I'd then ask for proof from player x that it was in fact RDM. If no proof can be provided I'd explain to player x that in future he'd need to get evidence either from screenshots or recording his games. If proof is provided I'd proceed to give player y a warning for RDM.


Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.

I would need to get both sides of the story as the kills being close together doesn't always mean NLR was broken. I'd ask where both kills happened and if they disagreed I would need to see some evidence before any action could be taken as the kills could have been in different districts or one player could have gone to spawn straight after the first kill.

I'd also ask why both kills happened as there could be a case for RDM.


Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided

I would simply reply in OOC asking player x not to metagame. If it happened again I would go to the player and ask him if he knows what metagaming is, depending on his response he'd either get a verbal warning and an explanation to what he done wrong or if he knows what he was doing is wrong he'd be giving a warning.

Why I should be chosen.

As a lot of people know I used to be staff, I applied for Moderator which was accepted first time, after roughly 5 weeks I applied for Admin which was also accepted first time. During my time as Admin I made a few silly mistakes and lost my rank. I ended up leaving Zarp for a few months. I've been back for a while now and spoken to a few of the lead team about their thoughts on me rejoining the staff team which I feel was mostly positive. I understand I'll have to start from the bottom and earn back my Admin rank but I don't see why I can't do that. I've kept my record on zarp clean as my F6 will show no punishments at all for the last 8 months.

I'll use Jordan as an example here, he was once demoted, his mod applications were rejected loads times yet when he was finally accepted he worked, got Admin and then got Superadmin.. Why can't I do the same?

I'll never be the most active person on the server, I work a job which has strange shifts and I'm part-time in the British army. I'll never have the highest F1 count on the server either..... but what I can assure you and I proved last time, the quality of my F1s are always to the highest standard. In all my time as staff not a single warn/ban I gave was ever removed, that speaks volumes for the quality of my decisions in sits.

I'm ready for my second chance.
