Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
Random death match or for short "RDM" is when one player kills or tries to kill another player without a valid RP reason. Example: Peter is just casually walking around the map, when a new player shows up that spend all his money on a gun and wants to test it out. He kills peter with the gun. This is RDM because "testing out a gun" is not a valid RP reason to shoot someone.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
The New Life Rule, or for short NLR is that you should forget for what reason you died, and that you shouldn't go back to the district you died in for 3 minutes after your death.
Example: After peter got shot by the new player, he got a gun out of his inventory and started searching for the player. This is NLR because Peter is searching for the player based on an event that happened in his past life.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Metagaming means that you should keep RP information like, your base location out of non-rp chat channels. And you should keep non-rp information like, "Are the forums down?" out of RP channels.
Example: Peter is still searching for the new player and types in the Out Of Character (OOC) channel "Ill give my milkor to the one that kills the new player!"
This is meta-gaming because Peter is talking about an RP situation in the Non-rp chatting channel.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
I would take player X to a roof and ask him for any valid proof, if its very clear that player Y did RDM him I would tp player Y to the roof aswell and explain him what he did wrong and give him a verbal/warning. However if player X doesn't have proof, I would TP player Y to the roof aswell and ask him for his side of the story, if he gives an invalid reason to kill I would warn him. If he gives a valid reason I would TP player Y back and apologize to player X that I was not able to help him because of lack of proof.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
I would take player X to a roof and ask him for any valid proof, if its very clear that player Y did break the NLR rule, I would tp player Y to the roof aswell and explain him what he did wrong and give him a verbal/warning. If the proof wasn't valid I would TP player Y to the roof and explain what happened. (The logs can only proof half of the story because player X could've been spawncamping player Y, to trick him into getting warned for NLR). I would ask player Y to explain what I see in the logs, and if he admits to NLR I would warn him, if he doesn't, then I can't help player X. I would then TP them both back to their previous locations or spawn.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
Because he is being raided, I wont TP him. I would just pm him via the tab menu, asking if he could use the other channels. After the raid is done I would tp him to a roof and explain to him that he shouldn't use OOC for RP situations, followed by a verbal warning
Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words).
I should be chosen because I have a lot of experience in the community, and I know a lot of the players. I’ve also had previous experiences as moderator. I’m also fluent in English and Dutch, and can communicate in German and Spanish. Since I’ve been here for almost 3 years, I’ve experienced a lot of the updates, changes, maps and it also gave me a lot of knowledge about the server mechanics that can be useful for explaining stuff to newer players on the server, those years of experience also made me see staff members come and go, this is useful because this can help me predict if a player would be successful as moderator or not.
