Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
Random Death Match which RDM is the preferred term used to describe when a player randomly kills another player without a Role play reason. Example player A doesn't like player B and player A decides to shoot him in the back of the head with a shotgun
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
New Life Rule known as NLR is a term used to explain when a person dies in a specific area of the map and isn't allowed to return there for 3 minutes, if they return before the timer is complete they will get warned. Example Player A kills Player B in a raid and then Player B returns to the area where he was killed before the timer expires because he doesnt want his base to be destroyed.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Metagaming is when a player gives out information that is RP related in the form of Out Of Character chat. Example Bob says in OOC " I found the Nuclear Launch its in the Apartments on the top Floor, lets raid it.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
I would teleport to player x and then bring player y, I would then ask player y why he killed player x and that player x is accusing him of rdm, I will then check console and it shows that player y killed player x, I would ask player y why he killed player x, and I would listen to what both players said, if player y said it was because of RP related I would ask for proof from player x, if the proof shows that it wasn't rp related I would warn player y for RDM and verbally tell him not to do it again.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
I would teleport player x and player y to me, I would then ask why player y was breaking nlr and killing player x, i will get the story from both players and then proceed to request proof of the NLR from player x, if the player x fails to give proof I will not warn player y and then teleport them back but if player x gives proof I will then warn player y for breaking NLR and then tell him not to do it again and then teleport them back.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided.
I would teleport to player x and tell him to stop metagaming in OOC and tell him that he cant give RP related stuff in OOC and basically give him a verbal warning, if he pursues i will warn him for Metagaming in OOC.
Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words).
I think that I should be chosen as a moderator for Zarp because I know the rules and have read over them a couple of times including the new rules implemented today. I want to help the players to have a good experience on the server and I am very eager to support the players of Zarp because they have helped me throughout my time on the server and I feel like I can return the favour by helping out by handling F1’s etc. Also I get very frustrated by the lack of staff that handle F1’s, in my opinion they just take too long to respond and deal with the situation and by the time they come to handle it the player has left and they can’t do anything about it. So I want to help with the F1’s and help the players with their problems and try and keep the server clean. I feel if I was a Moderator helping with F1’s I would help the other staff members so they wouldn’t have to complete so many F1’s themselves when I can be there to help them handle them to avoid the F1’s clogging up and to keep the amount of F1’s as low as possible.
