Languages I speak English and small amount of Norwegian Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin. I feel my time as a moderator on Zarp has come to a point were i have learned what i needed to learn and got the experience that i need to move up to the next stage, Admin. I have done more f1's and been on duty more times than i have rp'ed and i am fine with that. Helping people on the server is fun and it makes sure that everyone else can have fun without having to worry about being rdm'ed and rda'ed etc, they can all have fun rping. So now i would love to move up a rank for various reason. I feel i am ready and also have a few things that gets in the way as being moderator. Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user). I have a couple of examples of when stuff has been a problem or obstacle when being a moderator like, when someone is mass rdming or breaking rules consistently and needs to be banned, i need to use the chat to contact a higher rank. This is a really big issue for me as other admins could be busy rping or doing other f1's so i need to wait a while for them to finish what they are doing to tp to me and ban the mass rukebreaker. There has also been some minor stuff like being the only staff on duty and someone needs a prop removed as they have been prop stuck, so again, i would need to contact another higher rank to deal with it. Last big thing is no clip. I feel i need this badly as when i am bring people to sits, i need to find them on the tab menu or use /bring to tp them to me and i previously made a mistake has i was tping someone and when i used chat to bring him, i tped everyone by accident which got my heart pounding like the clappers as i shit myself. Anyway thats a few of the obstacles that stand in my way as moderator. If you had to write a Facebook post to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp? Hello, Congratulations on making the zarp staff team, We are proud to have you. Today i will go over what you need to know as a moderator of zarp. They are a various things we will go through today but to start it off you will learn how your f1 and f6 menu works, When someone makes an f1, you will see it up the top right of your screen or at the bottom left. When you see this, press f1 and it will bring up all the f1s, logs and warnings, from there you can right click to handle the f1 and right click to bring, goto etc. The f6 menu will allow you to check players recent warnings and punishments example: Jail, mute, slay etc. The warning system. This is a very important command you will need to know and how to use it. When you answer f1's and you have finally got to the bottom of the situation and have decided to warn the man. You should use your tab menu to find thev players name and once that is done, you click it and get their steam id. After all that you will type in chat /warn(steamID) Test and that will warn them for their rule breaks. Use this if they have clearly broken rules and you have sufficient evidence to prove it. The kick system. This is another very important command you will need to know has sometimes warning players dosen;t do the trick and they keep doing it and doing it, just to be a troll, well use this by going into the tab menu and finding their name, once you have done that, click 'kick' and write your reason. This is a command that will come in very useful if no admins are on and they are mass rulebreaking. Make sure to jot down their steamID so that when an admin comes on, they can ban them. TP, GOTO AND BRING. These commands are what you get around as a mod. You will use this to get around to other players to ask them to come to a sit, you can tp,goto and bring in different ways but the best way to do this is use the tab menu and find their name and use it from there. Freeze. This command will be very, very useful you in a variety of different situations, but i'll use this one. So if you are in a f1 sit and their is someone who keeps running off the roof (where you do sits) and aren't listening to a word you say then simply use tab menu to find their name, click and and once their you will find a 'freeze' option, click it and freeze them until the sit is over. You can also use this as a punishment to rule breakers instead of a kick or warn. Mute command. If someone in game is being very disrespectful and are mic spamming then use the mute command to make them pipe down for at least 5 minuets or however long you feel they need to be muted for. Last of all you will notice you have an admin gun in your inventory, this is use to make sure that players fading doors are linked up to where they are supposed to be and they aren't propblocking to defend their printers or drugs. DO NOT USE THIS TOOL GUN WHEN YOU ARE ROLE PLAYING. ONLY WHEN ON DUTY. That is all you need to know and are the very basic commands that will aid you as a moderator. I hope you understand everything and if not use '///' in chat and someone will be with you asap. ps that is our staff chat. Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be? As this would be their first ban and they have understood where they have went wrong and apologized for it, i would give them a second chance and unban them for this and watch them very carefully. Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 150 words). I think you should promote me to admin because i have worked hard as a moderator, maybe made a couple of mistakes but this was my first time as staff and the other staff members like onion rings and Jordz (buckfast lad) were very helpful and helped me understand what to do and everything. I also feel that i am a very fair person and when i am doing f1's i always look into the complaint and make sure that it was infaCT a rule break before taking action against the person. I also enjoy a good laugh aswel when i am not on duty, i usually just base and get some drugs on the go or raid bases and get all that good loot from it. I do love playing on zarp and have always played by the rules. i do not have a single warn to my name, so i better no get one of yous warning me for no reason cause i will be devastated. |
