Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
Random Death Match, also called RDM, is a kill that is done with no valid RP-Reason.
Player X walks down the street and spots Player Y, Player X decides to take out a weapon and starts` to shoot Player Y, because he does not like his voice.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
New Life Rule, also known as NLR, is when you die you can not remember your past life, so you forget who killed you etc. . After being killed you are not allowed to enter the district (between two tunnels) of your death for 3 minutes (there is also a timer at the top of your screen after you die).
Player X is basing in the industrial district, Player Y noticed Player X`s base and decides to raid it. Player Y starts raiding Player X and kills him. So after Player X died he decides to ignore the NLR and goes back to his base (also the district of his death) and tries to stop Player Y to finish the raid.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Metagaming is when you give out RP-Information in an Out-Of-Character chat.
Player X is getting raided by Player Y, so he calling his friend Player Z in the OOC-Chat.
„Player X: PLAYER Z, FAST COME, IM GETTING RAIDED!!!!!!“.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
So after I brought both of them into an Admin-Sit, I would ask Player Y why he killed Player X. If the reason is untrustable (just like „crossfire“ etc.), I would continue asking questions like: Where did you kill him. After one to three question he is probably going to make a mistake, just like changing the story and at this point I can normally tell: is he is lying or not. But when I am not sure about the things that he is telling me, I would ask Playe Y if he got some proof to backup his side of the story. If not I could not do anything about it.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
After I again got both Players into a Admin-Sit, i would ask Player Y why he got killed by the same guy in a short time. After that I would ask him about the story`s of the two kills (district, reason). When I think the story that he is giving is trustable and suitable I would ask Player X if he got any proof to backup his story. If not i could not do anything about it.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
I would tell him to stop Metagaming through the OOC-Chat and start spectating him. If I see that the raid is over and or him being killed, I would teleport to him and start to explain the Metagaming-Rule to him. When I am sure he understood the rule I would let him return to RP. But if he breaks the Metagaming-Rule again I would have to give him a warning since he is breaking the rule on purpose.
Administrator-Related
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user).
I can give an example for that: 1 time I handled a F1, I Teleported the reporter to me and he said that he got RDMed by WaLK5r.
As it normal I teleported the rulebreaker to me and tried to handle with him.
He said that he never killed this guy, but the logs said clearly that he killed him.
I tried to explain him that and he said “I don’t listen to that Kiddy”
Also I verbal warned him.
And about 5 minutes he kept saying: “I’m 5 and he’s 4, also I’m stronger!”
I tried to continue handling with him but he kept saying that.
Also I didn’t saw any escape and said: “You have 30 seconds to answer me, when not I’m going to kick you from the server.
Directly he stopped “ignoring” me and I handled with him normal again.
WaLK5r is an example name!
If you had to write a facebook post to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?
So before we start the training, I want to say: Congratz on getting accepted in the SSRP-Saff-Team! You are now allowed to attent the SSRP-Meetings, there we accept/deny the future staff. The meeting is at 7pm GMT on Saturday. So as you
got accepted as a moderator you will receive the moderator rank ingame aswell. As a moderator you are more or less a role model for the users, so you will have to act like one. As a moderator your job is it to keep the server clean from
rulebreakers and handle player reports. To keep the server clean from rulebreakers, you will get with your moderator rank several new commands. As you will probably know is that you are not allowed to use these commands in RP at all.
There will be a list of commands down below and their explanation. For handling player reports, you will need the Administrative-System fo ZARP, you can open this by pressing "F1". In this menu you got 3 Tabs: Admin-Requests, Warnings and Logs.
I firstly will go over the Admin-Requests Tab: When a player makes an admin request, this F1 will pop up in this tab. On this F1 you can right click and then you will get a two of options: Handel this and Mark as spam. When you click
"Handel this" you will handle this F1, when you are handling the F1, you can do another right click and these option will pop up: Goto Player, Bring Player, Mark as finished and Abort Handling
Goto Player: This will teleport you to the guy who made the F1.
Bring Player
That command will bring the player to you, but you should not use this command since you cannot teleport him back to his original position with the /back command.
Mark as Finished
This will finish the F1 and remove it from the F1-Tab, you do this at the end of your sit.
Abort Handeling
With that command you abort handling this f1, you use this command when you want an other staff member to handle this sit.
So I am going to explain a bit a "layout" for an F1: First you go to the player who made the F1, after that you ask him about his problem and if he still needs you, you bring him up on a roof to a sit. After you know what the F1 is about
and know which Player apparently broke a rule, you want to teleport to the accused player and see if he is available right now. If yes, great, teleport back to your sit and teleport the accused player. Now you want to tell him why he is here
and then you will have to continue with your sit on your own.
In the warning tab you can see every warning that was given away in the last 24 hours/server restart. In this tab you can remove the active warning, but you are not allowed to do that, until you spoke to the staff member who warned the
guy.
In the logs tab you can see: Kills, Arrest, Deaths, Hits, Car scraps, money drops, name change and joins/disconnects. When you do a right click on a log, you are able to copy the log, copy the player information (Steam-ID and Steam Name).
The logs are the base of an F1, if there is an F1 about RDM you can see in the logs who killed who and etc. .
With your rank you get a new NON-RP Job, the Mod On Duty. When you are this job you are not taking part of RP. That means, you cannot be killed by Hitmans, you can not raid/base while being Mod on Duty. Aswell you should not wear any
suits while being on duty, since it is a RP-Suit.
You also get a new tool called Admin-Tool, with this tool you can see the owner of the prop you are aiming at and you can check keypads for their link and opening time.
To check a player`s warning list you can press F6 and either search the name on the online players list or click on the bottom of the list on "search". There you can paste his STEAM-ID in and it will show all his punishments even when he is offline.
You can use the F6 menu in combination with punishing the guy, for example: let`s say there is guy with a big gun as citizen, you pick him up into a sit and want to give him a verbal warn, but before you check his warnings and you see that
he got warned before for big gun as citizen. So you probably going to warn him.
And before the command list, here are some things you will need to know: Logs are not proof enough for NLR; As a moderator you are NOT allowed to host events on your own, you need an admin as a host.
Command list
Teleports the targeted player to the position of your crosshair.
Teleports yoursef to the targeted player.
Teleports the targeted player to your location, it will teleport them to you even if they are dead or sitting in a car.
Teleports the targeted player to his last location (his location before he got teleported).
Teleports the targeted player to the spawn.
Gives the targeted player a warn (if he reaches 3 active warnings, he will get automatically kicked from the server; if he reaches 4 active warnings, he will get banned for 1 hour).
Removes the latest ACTIVE warning.
/freeze [STEAMID] [TIME IN SECONDS]
Freezes the selected player for the amount of time you have put in there (0 for permanent).
Removes the frozen status on the selected player.
/slay [STEAMID] [NORMAL/SILENT]
Slays the selected player.
Kicks the selected player from the server.
SO, now you are good to go! Have fun catching those rulebreakers!
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
Firstly I want to thank you for appealing you ban. So from this post I can see that you are very sorry for your actions on the server. After talking to some other staff members, I am willed to unban/lower your ban. But before you join
the server you will have to read through the rules again and you can not expect another unban if you get banned for the same reason again. Have a nice day! -WaLK3r
Why I should be accepted/promoted (we recommend around 150 words).
I think I should become a staff member once again, because I am a reliable, punctual and a hardworking person. As I was a Headadmin (sadly not for long) I gained very much experience with dealing with rulebreakers, abusive staff and
trolls. Aswell I am a very respectful and friendly person, even if people are really annoying me, I keep my cool and still try to be as respectful as possible. When I was staff before, I worked really hard to keep rulebreakers off this server/punish them.
I had a really high F1 counter every week and I was one of the main trainers in the Leadteam. I am team player and a leader person, as we have many social projects in our school and I am the one who is taking the lead all the time.
On the server are most of the time more F1s than working staff and the server turns into a chaos, this is mainly why I want to be a part of the staff team once again.
And in the lasts entence I want to apologize to the leadteam, because I needed to resign very soon after I got promoted.
