Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] Random Death Match (RDM) is killing another player for no roleplay reason. As a scenario; A police runs up to a hobo and just kills him for just literally standing there, doing nothing wrong at all. Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario. Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] New Life Rule (NLR) means that you forget everything that just happened if you spawn at the spawn area. This isn't affected if someone uses a defibrillator to bring you back alive to your death location. If you see NLR at the top of your screen with a timer, you may NOT enter that district until time is up. As a scenario; A master thief got into a gunfight with the police in the 'Banker' district and the master thief has died and spawned back at the spawn area. He/she must not return to the banker district for 3 minutes otherwise he/she is breaking NLR. Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario. Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] Metagaming is out of character chat (OOC), for an example, Billy says in OOC "There is a base next to the PD with printers". You must not use OOC to agree to meet up with other people for bank raids, basing together etc.
Handling situations:
[RDM] Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x. Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] Firstly, I would want to hear both sides of the story to gather information from the victims involved in the incident. Then I would proceed to check the logs to see if Player y did kill Player x and ask if either of the victims has any evidence of the situation, like a good quality screenshot and/or video so it's understandable to know what's going on. If Player x does provide the evidence of being killed for no reason, I would proceed to give Player y a warning for RDM. I will then return both players and leaving a message to enjoy the rest of their day. [NLR] Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time. Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] If they are close together at a busy time then they must have been under three minutes inbetween them. Just being close, however, is not enough evidence to say that he definetly was breaking NLR so you cannot warn him right away just from the logs. If Player x can provide good evidence that Player y did break NLR (For example, a short video that shows a gangster killing a cop to safe his fellow gangster friends from being arrested/killed. NLR is three minutes so if Player y has not forgotten his past life and could have also possibly stepped into the same district within the three minutes and has now broken the NLR, so I would proceed to warn him/her. If not enough evidence was shown, Player y will just be let free. [Metagaming]Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] I would simply say in OOC telling Player x not to metagame. If it happened again I would go to the player and ask him if he/she knows what metagaming is, if he/she is unaware of what it is, I will explain what it means and let him/her off with a verbal warning. If no good reason was given, I will proceed to give a warning.

Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words). Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] I should be chosen to become a staff member for ZARP SSRP because I have stayed around since late August/early September and has had a lot of hours put into this server. I would love to help ZARP out by doing F1's and helping other players for a better RP experience. I will admit, I was not a very good player and did break some rules and received my warnings for that, but I believe I have no longer broke any rules since I have memorized the rules of both SSRP servers. I'm that sort of person you can easily get along with and is very forgiving if mistakes were ever made towards me. I love the ZARP community a lot and would love to meet more people since being staff is a great dedication to the server and they are very well respected. I will be on for a good few hours during weekdays because of school but weekends and school breaks I will spend a lot of my time on. I will proceed to also improve my in-game time on ZARP as I am playing it more oftenly. Thank you for your time on reading my mod application! |
