Random Death Match, commonly known as RDM, is where a player goes up to another player and randomly kills them. So A would go to B and shoot and kill B when B has done nothing wrong and is just sat near the fountain. Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario. New Life Rule, more commonly known as NLR, is where someone gets killed, maybe in a raid or a mugging, and cannot go back to the place they died for three minutes. They must also forget everything in their past "life" that isn't there friends base etc, so things like who killed them. A gets mugged by B and doesn't pay so B kills A. A goes straight back to where B killed him, gets a shotgun from his inventory and kills B. A has broken NLR in both ways possible and has also comitted RDM Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario. Metagaming is getting infomation about someone or something (where someones base is, where an abandoned car is) from Out Of Character means. This could be over steam chat or more commonly over OOC. A is looking for a raid. A says in OOC "anyone know where a base is" and B goes "yea theres an easy raidable one in the warehouse district. A and B have both metagamed. Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x. First I would bring Player x to a rooftop that isn't being used, and make a sit. I would check the logs for his deaths and copy and paste it into chat and ask if this was the person who killed him, if it is then I would ask him what happened and if he might have done anything to provoke Player y. After listening to Player x's full story I would bring Player y and ask him why he killed Player x. If he claims he didn't do anything wrong I would ask Player x for proof, if he doesn't have substantial proof than I would say that I am sorry but I cannot do anything fi you do not ahve proof and would return them both. If he does have proof (i.e. a video, picture) then I would take appropriate action against Player y (warn or kick, depending on how many times he RDMed, and if he RDMed anyone else) if it was mass RDM I would ask an admin or more experienced mod what I should do (if this happens when I am unexpierienced as a mod on this server). Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time. I would bring Player x and ask him for his story, and check the logs for a kill. If he was killed by Player y I would bring Player y and ask his story. If Player y denies it I would ask Player x for proof and if he does not have any substantial proof then I would return them both to where they were but if he does have good proof then I will warn Player y. Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided Firstly, I would bring Player x to a rooftop, I would give him a verbal warning (or typed in chat) telling him not to metagame and if he needs an admin he should make an F1. Then I would ask him what job the raider has. If it was a policeman/woman I would bring them and, if substantial proof is given, warn them, if it was not a policeman/woman and it was someone who cannot raid as there job I would warn them, if it was someone that can raid (i.e. a Gangster or Thief) then I would tell Player x that this is allowed and return him to where he was. Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words). I know that you recommend more playtime, double what I have at least, but I am going to be very active over the next week as I do not have to study as it is the holidays (studying comes first, you can probably understand) and also I am not usually active during the week because I swim over 15 hours a week (I don't know why) but I will be active this coming week. I really want to be a moderator as I like to RP on the server but after an hour or two of RPing it can get a bit repetitive and I would then do F1s. If there arn't enough staff on to do all the F1s I would put that before my RP as F1s are quite fun to do anyway. I am very calm with people, especially those who disrespect me and I would not get angry at them for calling me a c**t or anything like that, I would just warn them for it. I also know some of the rules that other players may not know as well, i.e. no fading doors in mine (I always find that alot of people don't know that one) and I would enforce the rules. Thanks for reading my application, I hope you pick me to be a mod. |

Thanks for applying for staff at ZARP DarkRp! During our weekly staff meeting your application, question answers, game trackers and in-game warnings are checked and then the staff team votes on your application.
This time, the staff team have decided that you still need to work on your application and then apply again next week. To try and help you they have summarised some positives & negatives discussed during the meeting: Low activity, play a lot more throughout the weeks and apply again. You can apply again at any time, and thanks for supporting ZARP! |
