Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
Random Death Match, abbreviated RDM, is the action in which a player kills another player without proper RP reasoning.
An example of this would be if player x as a citizen, walked up to player y, also a citizen, and shot him in the middle of the street, for no reason at all, then walked away.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
New Life Rule, abbreviated NLR, is what occurs after a player have been killed. It means that they essentially have a new life and have forgotten everything, and can't return to their place of death for 3 minutes.
An example would be if player x was raiding player y's base and got killed, he then would not be allowed to come back and attempt another raid till his NLR was over.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Metagaming is the action in which a player reveals information that would otherwise not be known to other players through the OOC channel.
An example would be that player x knew, through a raid attempt, that player y had money printers, and then player x decided to broadcast this information through the OOC chat so that either police or other criminals would try and raid player y's base.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
I would first of all, ask for proof since that would speed up the process of helping the player in need, if there is no proof, I would ask player y why he killed player x and also ask player x what was going on when he was killed. After I have heard both accounts I would then take the appropriate action thereafter, and if player y did RDM, I would start out by giving him a warning and explain to him what he did wrong and why he can't do that.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
As in the previous explanation, I would first get both players accounts of what happened and ask for proof if there was any. Then I would ask player y why he would be breaking NLR and return to the place where he previously died, and handle him thereafter. If player y did not have a reason to return to the place of death, then he would get warned, but in a situation where player y is a policeman and there is a raid on the Police Department, the bank or a nuclear raid I would explain to player x did not break any rules, and is allowed to avoid NLR when these places are under attack or active.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
I would tell player x that he is not allowed to use OOC chat for that purpose, because that is metagaming, and that he should instead seek for help through /advert or the /pm system to receive help from other players in the situation of a raid on his bank. If player x however would keep asking for help through the OOC chat, I would take him aside and explain that it’s a rulebreak, and that if he does not stop, he would get warned.
Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words).
First off: I was a moderator a year ago and I know the administrators stance on reinstating old staff due to "What if they just leave again." but I assure you with personal stuff resolved I am ready to get back into the game.
I also know that my current profiles do not contain a lot of playtime, at least not for server 1, but I do
intend to play more on server 1 again, since I just recently rejoined I haven't had time to log a lot of hours again but I plan to.
The reason why you should choose me is because I am a responsible person who knows how to fit in line and follow the rules as well as uphold them. I take mod duty as a
privilege unlike some who uses the tag as a reason not to get disrespected by players. I would also like to be reinstated as a mod because in the recent couple of days I have noticed how, even with a lot of people complain in OOC while having reported an F1, some staff members just keep RP'ing and not doing what they are there to do, while there are probably a lot of unsolved F1's which frustrates me to see as a person who wants people to have a pleasant time on the server. I
can be harsh in my tone towards rulebreakers but I try my hardest not to be unpleasant while doing F1's as it's better to teach rulebreakers to do right with a warn, instead of losing players due to bad moderating and staff experience.
