Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
"
RDM", is when a player attacks another player for no reason, this is known as a
Random Deathmatch and would result In a
Warn/Kick depending on the severity of the situation.
An example of this could be:
Player A joins the server and kills
Player B, the hobo. When
Player A and
Player B are brought to a mod-sit
Player A is questioned on why he killed
player B, If
player A can not give a reason
Player A gets a
warning, If
Player A gives a false answer,
Player A Gets
2 Warnings, other outcomes would result in a
Verbal Warning.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
"
NLR", is when the player dies but then then goes back to back to the place they died,
NLR could also be remembering who killed you and retaliating this is known as a
New Life Rule and can result in a
Warn or a
Verbal Warning.
An example of this could be:
Player A gets killed while raiding
Player B,
Player A immediately returns to
Player B's Location, in this situation
Player A would get a
Warning. But If
Player A returned after a delayed amount of time,
Player A would only get a
Verbal Warning unless it is a repeated offense.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Meta-Gaming is where you use an Out Of Character source to give or use roleplay information for example, 'OOC' to react to something In roleplay, this would mostly result in
Verbal Warnings but could result in a
Warning if a repeated offence.
An Example of this could be:
Player A says in 'OOC' Chat, "Hey,
Player B's keypad code is 6547!" That alone would be an offense, but to expand on this, it is also an offense for
Player C to use this information, like entering this on
Player B's keypad. Both players would receive
Verbal Warnings, unless repeated offense.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player X accuses
player Y for
RDMing him, the console log shows that
player y killed
player x
If the logs show that
player Y killed
player X I would ask for viable proof, a video for example, as this could have been a
Base raid,
Kidnap, or
Mug. If proof is brought forward then
Player Y would get a
Warning, If no proof was shown, i would keep an eye on
Player Y but dismiss the Mod Sit.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player X accuses
player Y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
I would ask
Player X to provide proof that
Player Y broke NLR. If no proof was shown I would give him a
Verbal Warning, but watch
Player Y and next time give him a
Warning, If proof is brought foward, I would
Warn Player Y and also keep an eye on him.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player X calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
Player X would instantly receive a
Verbal Warning and told that OOC can not be used for this, and explain that he should use /advert, if I see
Player X do it again, I would give
Player X a Warn.
Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words).
I think I should be chosen because I love the Zarp community! and throughout my time at Zarp I have made lots of friends and the community has given to me opportunities to do the stuff i enjoy, and play the game I love the most. I have made mistakes in the past but I would wish that you do not hold these against me, and let me start fresh. and let me prove I can give back to the community by keeping the rules of Zarp in check. I have Moderated, and even owned my own servers before, so I hope you read this in confidence that I will do a good Job as moderator as I am determined to help!
Thank you for reading!
