Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
Explanation: RDM, otherwise known as Random Death Match is when player X kills player Y without having a valid RP reason to do so.
Example #1: Player X kills player Y because player Y is a hobo, and player X doesn't like hobo's. This is considered RDM
Example #2: Player A kills player B because player B has a gun out and player A feels threatened. This is considered RDM
Example #3: Player P kills player Q because player Q is driving recklessly and player P wants to teach him a lesson about driving. This is also considered RDM
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
Explanation: NLR, also known as New Life Rule means, no matter how you died. You're not allowed to come back to the district of death. [District = tunnel to tunnel] This applies to any job and should never be broken in every case. Does rule does however fall on 2 occasions: Whenever the PD is being raided and you as cop die trying to raid it. In that case you can come back untill the PD isn't being raided anymore. The other occasion is when the bank is being raided and you die as a cop die trying to raid it. Again you can come back until the bank isn't being raided anymore.
Example #1: Player X got ran over by player Y in the main district, however as player X still had unfinished business in the main district he instantly returns to finish his business. This is considered NLR.
Example #2: Player A got killed by a group of players raiding the base next to him, killing player A unwillingly by the explosion. As player A believes this is RDM he runs back to the guys that killed him and asked them why they 'RDM'ed him. This is considered NLR
Example #3: Cop Q successfully raided a gang of players raiding the bank. As he exits the bank he runs into a wanted person and gets killed by him. As he doesn't want to wait his NLR timer out he uses the excuse that he got killed raiding the bank. This is considered NLR
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Explanation: Someone ''metagames'' whenever he/she tries to obtain In Character information by using Out Of Character chat.
Example #1: [OOC]: "Hey bob, I heard EMP is a great owner. Come to fountain to talk to me about it!" This is considered metagaming
Example #2: [OOC]: "Police my bank is being raided next to banker, come and help me out quickly" This is considered metagaming
Example #3: [OOC]: "I just saw the guy with that 1 million hit on him run to car dealer! Hitmans get him!" This is considered metagaming
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
[Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.]
I would teleport them both to a roof and ask why player Y killed player X. If player Y gives a valid reason I will have to let player Y go. If player Y doesn't give a valid enough reason for his actions, I will warn player Y for RDM. Also, if player Y gives a valid reason but player X says that reason isn't what really happend, I would ask player X if he has proof of what really happend. If he cannot provide me this I wont be able to do anything. If he does provide me the evidence and it shows that player Y lied about what happend, I would ask a higher up staff member to ban player Y for lying in an F1. And possibly RDM, if that's needed.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
[Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.]
I would ask player Y how it's come that he died so often to player X. If player Y admits that he broke NLR I would simply warn player Y for NLR. If player Y gives a reason that he did die 2 times by player X but didn't break NLR in the process, there wouldn't be anything I can do. Also, if player Y gives a reason that player X states as untrue I would have to ask player X for proof of the situation. If he cannot provide this evidence there would be nothing I can do. If he can provide evidence and the evidence is valid I would once again ask a higher up staff member if he can ban player Y for lying in an F1. And possibly NLR, if that's needed.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
[Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided]
I would teleport to player X and tell him that he is metagaming, and he needs to cut it out. If he is clear I would teleport back and continue on with my business. If I see him metagame once again in a short period of time I will teleport to him again, take him to a roof, tell him that I just told him that he was metagaming and needed to cut it out and warn him for metagaming. If he understands it I'll teleport us back and I will continue on with my business. If I see him metagame again in X number of minutes I will ask a higher up staff to ban him for continuously metagaming after being told to stop.
Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words).
I should be chosen because of that I can obtain a great activity if needed, don't be scared by my activity now. It's because I just got interested in gmod again and will get my activity up this week. I'm very positive and polite aswell, you wont see me shout or insult anyone ever in OOC. I'm calm, professional and I don't see doing F1's is annoying or exacting. I've been a staff member before and I enjoyed my time being one and hopefully I can continue that with this moderator application. I understand what I have to do and what not to do. Yes, I do have 1 or 2 recent warnings. That's because I had to get into the game and get to know it again. I understand it now and I will play and potentially administrate to my fullest extent.
Thank you.
