When it will be appropriate to use the ban command?
Scripts or Hacks:
It would be appropriate to ban a player if they were using scripts or hacks on the server to gain and advantage over players. This would ruin gameplay for other players - anyone using such things would be given a permanent ban when found.
Disrespect, Racism and Verbal Abuse:
Disrespect, racism and verbal abuse will not be tolerated. Any player verbally abusing, being racist or disrespecting other players would receive a verbal warning and then an actual warning along with a !mute or a !gag depending on how they communicate. If they were to continue after being ungagged or unmuted they would be banned temporarily.
Threats:
Anyone threatening to DDoS or hack the server (even if it is a false threat) or the ZARP community would be appointed a permanent ban as such behaviour has no room in the ZARP community. Players who threaten other players with physical violence such as killing or mutilating them in real life would be permanently banned unless it was a foul joke which the other player did not mind in which case they would be given a lesser punishment.
Mass Rulebreaking after Multiple Warnings:
If a player continued to break rules after multiple warnings and were not willing to change their ways- they would be banned permanently. However, I will go into slightly more detail in my 'Explain any situation...' section of my application.
Reports:
If a player has been reported through the forums and the template has been filled out with valid information and valid evidence - the player would be banned accordingly based on their actions.
Explain any situation you had to work around in your time as a moderator. How could your promotion help this?
I believe it was 1-2 weeks ago. A player named 'Haytham' decided to come on (simply because I was previously a member of the FP RP Staff Team) and proceeded to verbally abuse me. At the time I believe I was the only staff on the server (although only for a short while as you will find out later on). He proceeded to verbally abuse me after multiple warnings and !mute's. He decided to take it a step further and abuse other players as well as trapspam and troll.
My promotion would have helped ban him sooner before other staff joined (it spanned across 1.5 maps) and would have helped preserve and protect other player's gameplay as there was a delay between me slaying him as he trapspammed (so the runners would have a more than easy start). However, after the map change a handful of staff members came on and decided to ban him as he continued to show abhorrent behaviour.
Why I should be promoted (Give at least 75 words)
I believe I should be promoted as I am friendly, active, mature and have had the role of Moderator for 4-5 weeks. I have proven that I am an efficient staff member who can use all the powers with prowess. I have helped other Moderators who are new to the job and have had lots of time to fully understand the role of Moderator and the rules inside out. As I said on my Moderator application, I was previously Moderator on FP RP (which shows I was eligible for a promotion then) and the powers are very similar other than using '/' instead of '!' which took a few days to get used to. Over the 4-5 weeks (ish) I have had Moderator, I have improved my handling situation skills which I must admit- didn't think would happen. I presumed being Moderator on Deathrun would be simpler than on RP (as the chat goes to the whole server so you don't need to TP players to you to talk to them privately) but it's proven to be a worthy challenge and I believe I am ready for the next step.
Thank you to whoever read this the whole way through - have a wonderful day!
