Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.

Random Death Match, RDM for short, is the instance where a player kills another player for no good reason. An example of commonly done RDM is Revenge RDM, where a player kills another player after they have been killed by said player. In this case they most of the time also break NLR.

An example scenario could be: Player A walks up to player B. Player B has currently done nothing to Player A for him to justify killing Player B. Player A takes out a specific gun and shoots Player B for no reason. If Player A was to finish the kill, it would be RDM. If player A was to not finish the kill and walk away after that, or player B kills Player A before Player A can kill Player B, it is seen as Attempted RDM.

Alternatively, there are many players reporting others for killing them in a raid. Killing someone in a raid however is a fair reason and therefore the player who killed the other did not RDM in this case.

Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.

New Life Rule, NLR for short, is when a player has been killed/died and returned to the same spot where this happened before the 3 minute timer has ran out. In some instances Revenge RDM might apply here as well, because said person has been killed by another and goes back before the timer has ran out to RDM the other person.

An example scenario: Player A has killed Player B. Player B returns to that same area and optionally also interacts with said area, before the 3 minute timer has ran out. In this case Player B has NLR'd and deserves to get a warning.

Another scenario could be: Player A has killed Player B in the spawn area. Therefore Player B spawns at the same place where he was killed, but in this case it is not NLR yet. He is not allowed to interact in the spawn area in any way and needs to leave the spawn area as soon as possible for it to not be NLR.

Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.

Metagaming is when in-character information has been said in a out of character way, most notable being the OOC chat. This is vice versa and therefore OOC information can not be said in the IC chat. In a lot of cases this happens when a specific person asks for help in for example a hostage situation and tells everyone in the server the location via OOC chat and asks them to save them. This would be metagaming.

An example scenario: Other than a hostage situation, metagaming could also apply where Player A is saying things that could be vital information to the other nearby players in IC chat, but the things he is telling are obtained from an OOC source. Most notably people using Steam chat to communicate and then telling the others in the IC chat, which would be seen as metagaming.

Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.

I would go to Player X to ask what has happened and hear the story from his side first.
If from the story it turns out to not be RDM then I would not go to ask Player Y for his story, since it's now clear that this was not RDM.
However, if his story shows it to be RDM then I would ask if he has any proof to back this accusation up.
If he does, then I would look at the proof accordingly and decide if this is enough proof to warn the other player and warn him if it is.

If he does not, then I will teleport X and Y to the same spot and hear both sides, and after that let both of them tell if the other person was telling the mistruth at any point or not, which is the most likely scenario to happen.

If there is no proof backing either of these claims up or one person does not slip up in the explanation, then I will let them go without a warning since there is no way to find out which one is right in this case.

If Player Y decides to confess to the situation, then he will be warned.

Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.

The fact that the kills are very close together will almost definitely make it RDM. There is of course the chance that Player X has been killed by something - for example a grenade, that Player Y has thrown before he died and therefore it's logical that both might be killed in this situation disregarding of who died first.
If this is not the case and Player Y killed Player X with an actual weapon, then I would go to Player Y and ask him why he's NLR'd, since the chances are slim that he hasn't.

If he confesses, then I will warn him accordingly.

If he does not confess, I would ask him how he killed Player X so fast after he got killed, in which case he probably has no good reason or excuse to tell me how. It will most likely end in a confession and he wil be warned.

Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided

I would warn him for metagaming and send him a PM to tell him why it is. If he does not understand then I will try to explain metagaming to him so he won't do it again.

Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words).

I will first cut to the chase as to why my gametime and activity is so low. I love helping out ZARP in any way I can. I have been a TTT staff for about 5 (now 9) months give or take, and have shown there that I am worthy of a staff position and can be active and dedicated to a server. I like the DarkRP gamemode, but I can not play it a lot since I get bored easily and just lose interest after some time. I, however, have seen that the DarkRP gamemode has the problem that not always F1's are being done. I would love to help out on server 1 and 2 and do F1's on there. I will mostly do F1's and not RP a lot, and therefore focus more on the staff job than the actual gamemode. And who knows, maybe if I become staff the gamemode will suck me in and I will love to play it anyway. My staff position will always be my number 1 priority and I would love to help out the players on the server be it via F1's or general questions via OOC chat. I am also known on TTT as always racing for the so-called F8's there, so that shows that I am quite ''hungry'' to help people out. I always try to hear it from both sides if necessary and am quite patient. I would love to help the DarkRP gamemode out the best I can and because of that I think I would be a great staff member. I have talked to RedPowder because of this and he said I should let you guys know my reasons behind it and try it out.

This application was my previous application I used. I got denied for not enough game time. All truth be said I have not improved on it that much if at all. I, however, posted the app the first time while the meeting was going on, so I don't think people actually had that much time to read the application fully and realize my reasons for applying in the first place. I still am not hugely interested in the DarkRP gamemode itself, but would still love to help out with F1's where and whenever necessary, as I said in the why I should be chosen section. I simply love helping out servers and communities. Most of the websites/games/servers I have been dedicated to I've always tried to help out as much as I can. I think I will actually enjoy my position as DarkRP staff where I can help out people that are simply enjoying the gamemode for what it is.

I hope that if I get accepted it will show that I am actually going to be actively helping out on the server, instead of being a simple badge-whore. Now that TTT is slowly starting to lose my interest after about 9 months of staff, I feel like I should try to help out on DarkRP as much as I can and dedicate more of my efforts there. Of course I will still try to be as active as possible to me morally on TTT.

I hope that people in the staff team will vote on my intentions and applications more so than on my current actvity and gametime. Again, I do not feel like I am able to keep up good activity on DarkRP without actually helping out with F1's and any means necessary because I do not enjoy the gamemode itself enough for that. I'll also try to use my microphone as much as possible, since that will be extremely handy when handling with players and F1's. I still find myself eager to help out on this gamemode and I hope I'll be given the chance.

I like to think that I am a friendly person willing to help out when I can, and I think that if I get accepted I will be able to show myself as such, more than I have been doing until now.
