Deathrun Related Information:

When it will be appropriate to use the ban command?

Banning a player, means to temporarily or permanently disallow access to the server(s). A ban is the harshest punishment available on the Zarp servers, and should be used with extreme caution.

Here is a list of situations where a ban should be used:

Hacking or Scripting:

Using hacks or scripts to gain an unfair advantage over other players is disallowed. Any sort of hacker or scripter found using hacks or scripts will be issued an instant Permanent Ban.

Any kind of serious threats ( E.g: Hack Threats or Death Threats ) :

Threatening to hack the server, or any individual on the server/related to the server is disallowed. Threatening to kill or harm someone inside of the server or related to it with a serious attitude towards it, is also disallowed, as this is a thin-ice topic, I would look into this and see if the victim of the threats takes them seriously; if not, a verbal action will be taken. Any player found threatening to do the above will be issues a Permanent Ban.

Mass Disrespect/Racism/Use of offensive language:

Disrespecting players is disallowed, along with racism and use of offensive language. Mass Disrespect/Racism/Use of offensive language will result in a ban. This would be when I have warned the player twice for Disrespect, Racism or Use of offensive language and they continued to do the above. I would ban them for the following:

Mass Disrespect:

1 - 4 Weeks for simple insults such as "Fucking idiot, Cunt, Dickhead, etc."

1 - 6 Months for extremely harsh insults, not going to say them exactly, but the general level of it: "Dead family, etc"

Mass Racism:

1 - 6 Months for making fun of people's culture, skin colour, ethnic background and country.

2 - 8 Months for use of racial slurs, and serious insults of culture, skin colour, ethnic background and country.

Mass use of Offensive language:

1 - 6 months for undirected racial slurs, cultural slurs and general insults of ethnicity and countries.

Mass Rulebreak:

Breaking rules once, twice or even three times isn't bannable, unless the player shows no intention of stopping the rulebreaking after being warned (x) number of times.

For example: I've warned a player to stop breaking x rule and he responds with "no" I would ban him, because he clearly has no intention of stopping therefore ruining people's playing experience.

Ban time would vary depending on the rule, and I would ban them, for the reason "Mass <insert rule broken here>".

Avoiding Punishment:

If a player has left after breaking a rule, and the staff member responsible for punishment has not issued a method of punishment, then I would wait for 10 minutes to see if the player reconnects, if not, then I would ban them.

Ban time would vary depending on the rules broken, but it wouldn't be permanent.

Explain any situation you had to work around in your time as a moderator. How could your promotion help this?

There was a time where there was 3 people on the server being extremely offensive towards people and constantly breaking rules. Since I couldn't ban them I had to warn them all 4 times before they got banned, but they ruined everyone's playing experience in the mean time and that disappointed me that I couldn't be quicker about it. If I was Admin I could ban them all and it would resolve the situation much quicker.


Why I should be promoted (Give at least 75 words)

By the time this application will be reviewed, I will be a Moderator for 2 weeks. During the 2 weeks of being a Moderator I have managed to set an example for all other staff members, by getting my post including how to be a good staff member- stickied and pinned in the Deathrun section, I have also been called a great staff member by users and staff, and have been told to apply by several Staff/Users. All of this shows my dedication to Deathrun, and how much the servers mean to me. Being an Admin, could improve my effectiveness by a long mile, not to mention I'm a highly trusted member within the community, being an Ex TTT and SSRP Admin, also currently holding a Forum Staff postition.

Needs to improve attitude ingame before being promoted. Tip would be being careful what is said and handle situations before they get out of hand.
