Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
RDM is when a player kills another player with no valid RP reason, or not adhering to any guidelines that apply to specific situations.
example - A gangster walks into the tunnel area and notices a mutant standing by. The gangster pulls out his handgun and guns down the mutant. The gangster was not being harmed by the mutant in any way, and was in an area that is supposed to be a haven for mutants.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
NLR is a basic RP rule which explains that once a character has been killed in-game, they will not remember what previously happened. This means that they are not allowed to return to the specific area they were killed at, and any RP information their character had is lost.
example - A player arrives at a gunstore. They decide to purchase a shipment of deagles from the gun dealer. The gun dealer receives the money for the shipment, and spawns it and hands it to the customer. A gangster who happened to be lurking around saw the shipment being sold, and quickly ran in and killed the customer and ran off with the guns. The customer returns to the store and demands to be refunded because of lack of security in the store.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Metagaming is the action of using information that is deemed out-of-character to one's advantage.
example - A citizen happens to witness a bunch of gangsters doing illegal activities in one of the apartment buildings. The citizen shouts in OOC "a bunch of gangsters are basing at the apartments!" A police officer notices this in the chat, and heads to the base and attempts to raid them.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
response: Before bringing Y into the situation, I would first get a full understanding from X's point of view on what happened and how he was RDM'd. Afterwards, I would then bring Y to me, and I'd ask him why he killed X. If Y's story matches up with X's or he admits to it, then Y should be warned/punished. However, if Y's story contradicts X's in a sense where Y is in the right, then either one them would be required to submit evidence in order to prove which person is right, otherwise the situation would need to be dismissed.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
response: After getting a full understanding from X's point of view, I'd bring Y to me, and explain to him that the person who he just killed was someone that killed him previously. I would then proceed to ask for Y's story. If I was able to determine that Y indeed violated NLR and went back to exactly where he died to get the person who killed him, whether I had evidence or by Y’s story, then Y should be warned/punished. However, if the situation was different, and Y was killed by X who was a wanted gangster, and Y notices him after spawning and chases after him and a fire-fight ensues, then X misunderstood the rules, and should be informed about why NLR did not apply to that situation.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
response: I would inform X that he is metagaming, and he needs to stop. If he persists, then I would warn him.
Why I should be chosen
I feel that I’ve currently been getting along with the majority of the community members and staff team quite well. I’ve also been having lots of fun interacting with all of them on the server. In terms of being staff, I think I have enough experience with handling rule-breakers due to my time as being admin on the Friendly Players servers. Besides that, I’ve also spent a decent amount of time looking over the rules for this community, as I’m fully aware that there are certain policies that may differ from those at FP, where I’ve played at for about 4 continuous years. You’ll also notice that I’m very open to constructive criticism when it comes to things like this simply because I’m always looking to improve. Also, for starting out on the server just recently, I feel that I’ve acquired an adequate amount of playing time, but it isn’t going to stop there.
