My time being a moderator contributes to me becoming mod because it shows how I handle F1 situations and how I reflect the example of the server. Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user). If it was a defiant user I would explain him the rules to which ever one he broke, and link him to it, if he is still defiant I would explain the rule thoroughly with every detail. If he was still defiant and if there was a upper rank online I would ask them to come explain it to the user because sometimes people don't like to listen to moderators but will listen to an admin+ If you had to write a facebook post to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp? I would first start off with the title as "How to become a moderator and be good at it" then explain what you should and should not do in situations, I would give them examples of hard and easy situations and how to handle them. Give them practice situations like in the moderator app. I would also state in there that you should not exploit any glitches or things that were not meant to be in the game, I would also explain to them what is considered abusing and tell them to keep their cool in situations and to not get heated in a admin situation. Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be? I would try to add them on steam to privately talk to them, and if they accept I would remind them of what they did and why I banned them. And if he apologizes then I would accept the ban appeal and unban him. If he came at me with a rude attitude I would ask for him to be a little more respectful and tell him that if he does I might lower it to a few weeks depending on how much the propspam was. Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 150 words). I think I should be promoted because I'm active, friendly, and can get along with people well. I also think I should be promoted because people don't like to listen to mods, I've at least have had 10 situations where I would have to call in an admin because they are defiant to mods, and the admin would have to explain to them thoroughly with what they did and why its against the rules, and I would have to sit back and watch and provide proof. I don't like having to call in an admin because 1. It takes away the admins RP 2. The situation takes longer then needed 3. I shouldn't have to call an admin for a F1 sit every time. I have also come into situations where I was the only one on and someone was either propblocking and I couldn't remove it because mods can't touch other players props. There is also situations where I need to get someones steam ID and take pics of logs and proof of his steam ID and send it to an admin to ban because a player has either made a DDOS threat or they've mass rdm'd and then left, I've had to ask morgan a lot of the times when that stuff happens, so instead of gathering all that just to send it to an admin it would be more simple if I could do it right on the spot when needed. I'd like to say I'm very active on server 2, but if you guys would like me to play on server 1 more becomes there isn't enough staff on server 1 then I would be happy to switch servers at any moment I'm on. P.S. I'm leaving to England monday and will be gone for 10 days, I thought about not applying because of the inactivity after 2 days but I thought you guys might hear me out and understand that it would be better for me to comeback and not have to wait apply again and immediately jump into those F1's Thanks for reading! -Brother Zachery Wraith |

First and foremost, we'd like to thank you for making the effort to apply for a rank on the ZARP Semi Serious DarkRP. Your application has been discussed at an administrative meeting, and from there it has been voted on.
As the number of 'yes' votes exceeded the number of 'no' votes you received, you have been accepted. Towards the bottom there is a button leading you to a download of a 'welcome pack' (moreso intended for new moderators) - this will give you a brief insight into your duty and how to do it, but before we can give you your rank you will have to attend a training session. You can ask any superadmin for your training.. You need to attend a weekly meeting on our Teamspeak server (IP is ts.zarpgaming.com), it would also be appreciated if you can click the banner in my signature and add me on steam so that we can manage the meetings more easily. Congratulations on behalf of the administrative team. |
