Steam Name: Rick
Steam Profile Current Gametracker Profiles: Server 1 Server 2 SteamID: STEAM_0:0:47628561 Age: 18 Languages I speak: I'm from the UK so I speak pristine English, Je parle aussi un petit peu de francais, et je suis tout a fait compreehensble. På sidan jag också lära svenska mein jag ar fruktansvaart. Gameplay Related Questions What is Ghosting? and give an example: On the gamemode deathrun, the term 'Ghosting' is used to describe the act of a living player giving compromising information to a dead player. The two most common form of this comes at points where runners need to make a gamble on something (For example one of two doors) that has already had its outcome discovered by a dead player (Through playing himself or via spectate mode). If this player was to then give out information about the scenario, he has ghosted. This is only one example of ghosting however it is the most prominent and persistent form of this rule being broken. How would you deal with a disrespectful player?: Given my previous experience with moderation, I have come to maintain this stance on "Disrespect". Disrespecting takes many forms, it can be through direct attacts on an individual, or through more generalised means, for example the use of Homophobic slurs ect. Neither of these cases are acceptable and should always be met with moderator action. If the player(s) whom are carrying out either of these acts are doing it through their microphones then the moderator should gag the player, as to stop him from furthering his attacks whilst you speak with them, and they should then be warned verbally as to what they are doing, and what will happen if their actions continue, the person should also then be issued with a warning through the 'Awarn' system as to tag the player and provide a history on the player for future reference. (If the player is using Text-Chat the same system should be followed but by muting the player rather than gagging them). Why I should be chosen: Oh god I hate these questions, they always come up in job interviews. There isn't all that much that makes me soar above the other candidates, sure I may be more experienced in situations involving malicious people due to my previous experience in moderation and administration, but to be honest I'm just an honest chap wanting to help out the server. All too often I see mic spammers or any other wavelength from the spectrum of rulebreakers and I feel helpless, especially seeing as I don't speak to many people on the community if any at all. I'm on Deathrun from time to time and I'm practically cemented into teamspeak (Even if nobody ever says hello), I just want to spare a helping hand this summer as the strain on Zarp's servers increases. I'd also like to add that I have high hopes for my time here at Zarp, and given my previous (And one current) managerial positions on other communities I aspire to integrate into Zarp as well as possible, and I also wish to help the servers grow in any ways that I can. Thankyou for reading my application, feedback, positive or negative is always appreciated. |

Applying straight after the meeting shows you have no intention of improving. I suggest waiting a bit before reapplying as you can improve on the points given when you were denied.

Firstly, your use of the word "shows" implies that I have no intent on developing on my weaknesses, something that I don't think you're in a position to judge so definitely, especially given that you're wrong. The feedback previously given by the administrative body was "low activity, but everything else seems good. Boost the activity up and apply again." Given that last week I was mostly away (Due to finishing a short course for a qualification that I am looking for) and I temporarilyneglected Zarp for real-life goals, I am sure that I can easily work on improving my consistency in activity (And I already am) compared to what is has been before. Additionally, I scoped out the other applicants that were accepted and their overall gametime was (In one case at least) only ever so slightly excelled than my own, thusly I took the feedback as reflecting my consistency over the few days prior to the meeting, something that I can easily work on in the following week, and I saw no reason to put off applying. It's more time to gather feedback, it also shows consistency and commitment to the application process. However if you wish to attempt to turn my comportment behavior unfavorable, be my guest. |

First and foremost, we'd like to thank you for making the effort to apply for a rank on the ZARP Deathrun server. Your application has been discussed at an administrative meeting, and from there it has been voted on.
Unfortunately as more staff members voted 'no' than 'yes', the application has been denied. The meeting host has taken some criticisms made by the admins and provided you with this feedback: low activity You are welcome to apply again at any point. |
