Explain
"Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
Random Death Match also called RDM, and is where a player randomly kills another player for a reason that is not deemed suitable by the ZARP rules. Here is an example of RDM: an citizen just spawned equipping a weapon, and immediately killing other players.
Explain
"New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
New Life Rule (also known as NLR), is the act of returning to an area that you died in within 3 minutes of your death or interacting with a player who helped to kill you within 3 minutes of your death, and acting as if you remember dying: when you die, you should act as if your previous memories were wiped you don’t remember anything. An example of breaking NLR would be if you are killed in a raid and return to the area where you died before the 3 minute period was up. There are a few scenarios where the New Life Rule can be broken - for example, police are allowed to return to the bank during a raid.
Explain
"Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Metagaming is the act of using chat systems for anything but their intended purpose, for example, using OOC chat for in-character purposes. If I was being raided and told police to help me using the OOC chat, I would be Metagaming.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
To start with, I would introduce myself and tell them why I have come to the two players. Ideally, I would take the two to a quiet/secluded area to make communications easier, and then I would ask player x and player y if they feel that the kill was legitimate and ask them to state their reasons for this so both of them tell their story. If the reason is not legitimate then I would warn player y and inform him of what they did wrong and tell them how to avoid repeating the act again.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
I would go to both of the people, and I would then ask them to both explain what happened. If it is found that player y did not wait for the NLR timer to reach 0 seconds, then they would be warned and informed of the New Life Rule: its importance and how to avoid breaking it.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided.
I would inform player x through OOC to stop metagaming - I will do this by explaining to him that using OOC (out of character) chat for in-character things is against the rules and is metagaming. I would tell them that they could have perhaps used an advert instead, and warn them if they continue to use OOC despite my initial warning.
Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words)
I started playing on ZARP in January 2015,I would like to be an moderator because I want to assist these who need help and also help improve ZARP I play daily and notice that many need help. I love to help people sort out their problems and calmly discuss the problems so everyone will be happy.
Thank so much for reading
