Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
In simple forms 'Random Death Match' is when a player kills another player randomly without a valid role-play reason. This is explained and stated in the server rules under Character, rule 2.1.
A example of 'Random Death Match' or commonly referred to as 'RDM' is when, say player x was simply walking around looking for a gun shop to buy some weapons when player z suddenly starts to attack and eventually kills that player without any reason.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
'New Life Rule' or also known as 'NLR' is once you die you have to wait 3 minutes to return to that district you originally died at. It also means you are effectively a new person therefor the person or anything to do with that life previously is no longer a valid reason when Role playing.
For example player x is raiding player z's base and player x dies. That player can not return to the district where he died, also if that player then meets player z he can not use 'well you killed me earlier' as a excuse to kill that player, in fact he shouldn't even mention anything to do with that encounter because he is now playing as a new person. If that player did break any of these stated rules and either evidence or a staff member witnesses this he would be warned for 'NLR' or even 'RDM'.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Metagaming is when you send information in character (So when you are role playing) in an out of character channel. This also apply's to the other way around.
For example some one in game is selling guns as a gun dealer and he types '/ooc Guys i'm selling guns come and meet me at the banker' this is using the ooc chat that is not for role play or 'in character' use and he would be breaking the rule 'Metagaming'.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
Although the logs do confirm that he did kill him i would not be sure that it was 'RDM' so i would ask the player accusing player y what happened. I would then ask for the other players story. If it did not match up and i was not sure of what happened i would ask for any evidence that this was RDM. I would accept a screenshot that is clear another but preferably a short video clip. Once i felt sure that the evidence was eligible i would warn the player. If i did not i would apologize to both players and explain that there was not enough evidence to back up the allegation and for next time to try take a screen shot or record in these situations.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
I would ask where these events have taken place. Then i would decide if it could be likely that this player has broken NLR. After that i would ask player x what happened and then ask player y what happened. If player y was a newer member and seemed not to sure on what we are talking about or confused on the situation and confirmed that he did indeed break NLR i would recommend that he should go read the rules closely and know the rules of the server, after that i would warn him for NLR. If player y denied this situation and claimed the other player had run to another district or a similar response. I would ask player x for a screen shot of the other player breaking NLR and if he provided it i would tell each player that there is enough proof to warn the other player. If not i would apologize to player x and player y to confirm that there is not enough evidence to do anything about it.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
I would explain to player x that he should not use in character announcements in ooc because this is known as Metagaming and is a rules break. I would also tell him to briefly read over the rules to make sure he is aware of them. Then if i did see him doing it again i would tell him is he continues to break the rules i will have to warn him for 'Metagaming'.
Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words).
I think i should be chosen because ZarpRP is currently my life, i'm on 6 hours a day at the minimum and at times (since i player for very long periods) i come across a lot of rule breakers and at time i wish i could take these matters into my own hands and try to keep the server as clean and as enjoyable for not only the people i know but everyone on the server. Also i would like to have to ability to warn my own members of the gang (Drug Money) for rule breaks like NLR. This way i would feel like i am doing my part for ZarpRP and not allowing anyone to break these rules that keep the server as fun as it is. There is one of reason although there are a good amount of staff at time through out the night when i play very late (like usual) normally after server crashes for a hour or two there is not any staff members on, this turns the whole server in to a mass RDM server and new player will simply leave after seeing this. I would love to stop this issue and if i become a moderator i will be able to keep the servers rules in play at these times. I would love to see your feedback on my application and anything i could improve on.
As you can see i have played 180 hours so far on ZarpRP just in these 2 weeks. Im extremly active and am planning to stay
