When it will be appropriate to use the ban command?

I would use this command when someone is hacking. I would permanently ban them because this is very serious, someone could be hacking and if I don't permanently ban them, they could come back and be hacking again. And I would use the ban command when someone is breaking a lot of the rules (if they kept breaking the rules, when they have been warned) the more rules they were breaking. It would be a longer ban time.

Why I should be promoted: I think that I've been really good as a mod, and I think I can take my powers a bit more further with using the 'ban' command. I always help people on the server, and im always active. I know all the rules for the server and I just want to make the server more safer as I can use the 'ban' command.
