TOPIC: {SSRP Admin} Highlander's application

Note:
I am trying to get Admin for no other reason to make my job easier and faster (more efficient) if the other staff members feel that I am not ready for admin I will gladly take time and apply again in a few weeks. I have had powers of a admin before so I am not hungry for power I just want to make my life easier and to help the Zarp community.
I personally feel I am ready for Admin as I have had experience before hand.

Estimated Server Time: Not sure but I have been on Zarp almost everyday since I got Mod and have stayed on the server for a good couple of hours, hopefully someone in the comments can help me .

Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin.

In my time being a Mod I have developed a very nice relationship, and more and more players that I help in F1s or not are starting to respect me for being fair and having good understanding of the rules. I want admin for the one reason to make my job more faster for me and the player so that I can get on to dealing with more situations. I do not mind being a Mod its just that Mods are very little powered ( for obvious reasons ) and this makes f1s really hard and time consuming especially when you have ignorant or argumentative players. It is quite clear to me that players do not mind RDMing a player in front of you as the worse they can get is kicked from the server I have always known this and have sometimes been RDMed by players whilst on duty but they would never do that to a admin.


Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user).

I have encountered many challenging f1s and problems that were made very difficult because of my lack of power and commands but one of the f1s I do remember was really hard as when I was doing a f1 the player accused another player of having an illegal base and asked me to check it but the player would not let me in and there were no admins on to help me
gain access to the base or no clip and check for me. This is one of the constant challenge's that I feel can make the situation longer not only wasting my time but the players time.

If you had to write a Facebook post to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?

First of I would welcome them to the staff team and as much fun as it is there are certain rules and criteria's that you should follow as a Mod and explain to him that just cause you are a Mod does not mean that you can rule braking Etc.. I would then explain that a moderator has certain powers that are available to help him del with f1s and so on, but caught abusing these powers whilst in RP it can lead to demotion. I would then tell him what powers he has and what they do exactly I would give him a full introduction into what each power does and when it is appropriate to use it for example


 The ability to teleport a player.
This is commonly used to bring over a player that is involved in the Moderator situation. You should never TP a member of staff without asking first and make sure that you type in the name properly or risk TP'ing multiple people.
 The ability to freeze a player
This command should only be used if a player keeps running away from you in a Moderator situation.
 The ability to teleport/goto to another player
This is most commonly used at the start of a F1 situation (to go to the other player that made the F1).
 The ability to warn a player
This command is commonly used by all the staff members and should not be used for out of Moderator situations and does require a little common-sense to use this command this command has to be kept constant.
 The ability to kick a player
This is by far the most powerful command that the Moderator has access to and should be used wisely as this command cannot be taken back once used on a player.
These commands should not be used for in character situations and only be used for Moderator situations.
If you ever need advice on what to do as a MOD you should as a member of staff in game/TS before doing so. Thanks for reading this and welcome to the staff team.


Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?

If it was not me how issued the ban i would not do anything. However if it was my decision i would say
In regards to your apology that you have wrote in great detail and you have clearly learned from your mistakes i will reduce your ban from permanently to a 3 day ban. But you must understand that propspaming can cause the server to lag and evidently crash this is a series rule and not to be broken again hopefully you have learned form your mistake.


Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 150 words).

As i have been Moderator i have learned to handle F1s more quicker and more efficiently as i done them . But as Moderator i have limited commands/powers and this makes my job more harder and more time consuming and does not only waste my time but wastes the players RP time as well. A recent example was i got a f1 saying that this base had 5 fadeing doors and was also FDA also when i asked him to let me in just to check it out just to see if it was ok he said F off to me. This also proves that players do not take Moderators as serious as they would do with a admin if i had to be given admin status I would definitely not abuse my powers as i have not done so with my Moderator status . I have had admin status before on Zarp and I am not power hungry but very eager to get f1s and situations dealt with faster and more time efficient and also know what all the powers and commands do and what level of punishment they are to be used at. If u had to be given Admin status I would be able to handle F1s more smoother and more Quicker as I do actually spend most of my game time helping others and this is why I should be given admin status as I am mature and active
