Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
Random Death Match ,also known as RDM is when a player kills another player without any reason.
For example: Player X is mining and Player Y shoots him without any reason and walks away.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
New Life Rule, also known as NLR is when player gets shot and has to avoid the area of death for 3 minutes.
For example: Player X is money printing in his base, then Player Y raids him. Player X kills him and after about a minute Player Y would come to raid him again. (That is when you break the new life rule)
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Metagaming is when a character tells in character ( also know as IC ) information in out of character chat ( OOC ).
For example: Player X is waiting for his friend and then he decides to tell him where to meet him " /ooc hey i am by the hospital, meet me there ! " So this would count as metagaming.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
First of all, I would teleport Player X to me and then i would ask him what happened. Then if he says that he got RDM'd by player y. I would check the console log if its true and if it is true then i would teleport Player Y. After that I would ask him " Why did you kill Player X ?" and i would hope for a truthful answer. If the player is new to the server and did not mean to kill Player X then i would let him go with a verbal warning but it if happens again then he will get a warning for RDM.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
I would teleport Player X and ask him what happened. If they Player X says that Player Y was breaking NLR, then I would check the console logs and if the kills are really close to each other. If Player Y did break NLR then I would teleport him to me and ask him why did he break NLR. If he tells the truth and he broke new life rule, then he would get a warning.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
First, I would teleport Player X to me and tell him what he has done wrong and let him go with a verbal warning. If I would see him metagaming again then it would result in a warning.
Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words).
When I got Garry's mod, the first game mode i went on was DarkRP. I was looking for a good server to play on for hours but the only server that cought my eye was Zarp. The reason I chose Zarp DarkRP server is because the server had vehicles, good choice of weapons, custom map and most importantly friendly staff members. Once I started playing, I did get a lot of warning
as i was a complete noob at Role playing. After about 30-35 Hours playing on Zarp DarkRP server 1, I found out that there was server 2. When I got on it, I did see that there was less players and you could get the job you want. After playing for about 10 hours on Zarp DarkRP that members of staff did reply slower to my f1's and that I got RDM'd more often. I want to become a moderator, so i could still be able to role play as well as help out other people and spot rule breakers myself. I do try and play on both servers for about the same time as well as helping newer members of the server.
