RP Name Ruben (Steam profile)
SteamID STEAM_0:1:20219592 Current Gametracker Profiles Server 1 Server 2 Age 19 Estimated Server Time I'd say about 22 hours, but I can't guarantee as Gametracker has been online for about 24 hours a day back Languages I speak Dutch and English, Dutch natively but English fluently Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario Random Deathmatch is the act of killing someone without or with an invalid reason (that doesn't abide the rules). Random Deathmatch doesn't necessarily mean that the target was killed, even intentionally damaging someone is wrong. A random citizen buys a gun at the gunstore and decides to shoot cops on the street because he doesn't like cops. This would be a case of RDM as the citizen is an 'average joe' who shouldn't have problems with the cops in the first place. Shooting cops for being cops would be invalid as there is no rule that allows you to do so. Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario New Life Rule means that once a person has been killed, he or she can not return to the place of death within the 3 minutes after initially dying. This is not just limited to a spot on the map. Using a sniper to shoot someone across the map while NLR is in place is also NLR, as the victim will forget who killed him and therefor can't revenge his killer. In case the victim has been raided, the player is also not allowed to wait outside his house and kill the people who were raiding him once they come out. The NLR timer means that they can return to the place of death, and if the raid is still ongoing at the time NLR runs out, the player is allowed to go back to his base and kill the raiders. During the NLR time, the player may also not call help from friends, cops or hitmen to kill the people raiding his house. Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario Metagaming is mixing OOC and IC. If a player uses OOC to ask for a gunshop or literally any other information that has to do with roleplay, the player is metagaming. People replying to this are also metagaming. When a player announces "The first person to find me gets $1000" in OOC, everyone who's participating in the search is metagaming. It could be debated that since it is an event it should not be metagame, however, in-game money is a part of roleplay and therefor should be seen as metagaming. Using IC information in OOC is not such a big deal, as there is no information that can be 'used in an OOC way'. Explain how you would handle the following situation Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x As the console already proves, the kill did really happen. What would happen next is that the player who killed the other should be questioned for his reasons to kill the other person. If the reason sounds unlogical or the player gives a reason that breaks the rules, the player will be punished in the server's defined way (warning, if I recall correctly) Explain how you would handle the following situatio Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time If player y was killed again close within the first kill, it is safe to assume that the player returned to the place of death. It can not be guaranteed that player y actually interfered with a raid or anything similar, but the player shouldn't have been there in the first place. Player y should be warned and player x should be refunded a weapon that was lost if player y killed player x during NLR time Explain how you would handle the following situation Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided This would be a case of metagaming. First a verbal (chat) warning would be given as the player might not be completely aware of metagaming due to the heat of the moment. I'd recommend the player to either as for help using the /cr command or using /advert to call everyone who's interested to help (/g can also be used for people within his group, and I'm not sure if there's organisation chat). If the player continues to use OOC to call for help, the player should be warned for metagaming. Everyone who decides to respond to the OOC call for help of player x, should be warned for metagaming aswell. Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words) I've been playing on server 2 for just two days. I understand that this is a short time, though, I think that there are a few mods here who can vouch for my reporting of players and knowledge of the rules. I have over 6000 hours on record playing Garry's Mod and I have moderated several communities and servers. I am currently studying in university and I'd just like to have something to do in my spare time, to relax. Since I joined yesterday, I noticed the amount of players who like to bend the rules and the little mods trying to resolve situations. I understand that staff members can be busy at times, but I don't think that it should take over 10 minutes to handle a case of propblock where i.e. 6 printers are blocked. In the meanwhile, the other player's NLR will already have ran out and the raiders will be killed even though they haven't had a chance to look at the goods yet. I've managed a large community myself, with 6000 registered forum members, 150000 unique players over the span of a year and 3 months and 13 servers (I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say the name, if so, please tell me and I'll edit my post) and thus I think I know what it is like to manage a large playerbase. I like a nice atmosphere on the server and I think this should be possible for every player. With understaffing, this certainly won't happen. |

He did make a lot of F1's and he hasnt been warned yet (at this time) i saw him on today and he seemed to know the rules and be helpful to other players, i would give +support but the play time is quite small, nearer the next staff meeting if it has increased quite a lot i would be a +support but for now i am neutral, nice app as well.

I just added my gametracker searches. The guys coming up at Server 1 are not me, I've only played at server 2 so far.
I don't think the time listed on gametracker is correct. Yesterday I played for roughly 6 hours, the day before roughly 4. Right now I've been online for 4 hours so I think the time should be 16 instead of 6 (gametracker was down for over 24 hours, so it might not have registered my time) |

First and foremost, we'd like to thank you for making the effort to apply for a rank on the ZARP Semi Serious DarkRP. Your application has been discussed at an administrative meeting, and from there it has been voted on.
Unfortunately as more staff members voted 'no' than 'yes', the application has been denied. The meeting host has taken some criticisms made by the admins and provided you with this feedback: Not enough play time You are welcome to apply again at any point. |
