Estimated Server Time
I believe I have spent hundreds of hours on Zarp, either RPing, or doing F1’s, and even doing both at times.
Languages I speak
English. I can count to 10 in German if that counts for anything, and a little Spanish, and like maybe 5 words in Russian (I guess that really shouldn't count)
Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin.
Since becoming a mod I have enjoyed helping other players and i have learned things that will help as a admin. Values such as patience, good attitude and speedy response times to F1's. I would like to also keep giving back to the community with everything i got!
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around.
There were no admins on at this time, and there was a mass rdmer, and I called him to a F1 twice and he shot everyone in the F1 sit. So after that I froze him so he couldn’t try to do it again. He constantly screamed he was not guilty. So I warned him 3 times for Mass RDM, and got him kicked. Then he came back and RDMed again and I warned him immedialtly to get him at least temporarily banned.
If you had to write an email to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?
Hey (name),
Congrats on getting mod! Let me give you a basic run down of your job.
First are some basic commands you need to know.
Warn: To warn someone that has broken a rule. You use the chat command /warn <Steam ID> <Reason>. After three warnings with result in a kick, and if they come back and receive a forth warn, they will get banned for one hour.
(un)warn: To revert a warning that you have given. The chat command for this is: /unwarn <SteamID>
Teleport: Teleporting is used for when you need to either go to a player or bring player to you. The chat command for this is: /tp <Steam Id> /goto <Steam Id> /bring <Steam Id> <Steam Id>
Freeze: This is used for when people are running away from you while your in a F1 sit or are RDMing, ect. The command in chat is this: /freeze <Steam Id> and /unfreeze <Steam Id>
Slay: This is used to kill someone. This is not ment to be used lightly. you should this for situations like if a citizan is using a big gun and will not drop it. In chat just type this: /slay <RP Name>
Kick: This command is used to kick someone from the server. A good example would be if a player is prop blocking and he will not delete it and there is no admins on. The chat command for this one is:
/kick <Steam Id> <Reason>
It is easier to use these commands through the TAB menu. Just click on their name, and then choose the command. This way will save you some time and can keep you from making a mistake.
Next thing to cover is the F1 menu.
The F1 menu is used for various things
The first tab on the F1 menu is used to handle reports/problems that players on the server might have.
It will show the players(name) who submitted it and the reason. To handle it you must right click on the the request and select handle this. Now you are handling this you can either goto or bring. Once you have completed the F1 you have to right click on it again and select finished.
The second section on the F1 menu shows warns that have been given, the reason, and who gave them.
This will show you the plays who got warned the info you can get from this is what the player got warned for what admin and how many he has. you can also unwarn a player from this menu but never unwarn someone you didn't warn.
The third section is the logs.
What this tab records all the deaths, kills, arrest., demotes, disconnects, changing jobs and the Time and Date of when it happens on the server. This very useful when you are doing F1's
One last thing you need to know about, is the Admin Keypad checker. This tool is used to check the fading doors and the keypads that are linked to them to see that they are legal. You just left click a key pad or a door, and it will show you the door or keypad it is linked to as well as show you if it is toggled or how long it will stay open for (which should be 4 seconds or more). Once you are done with you keypad checker, just right click to clear what it is looking at.
If you need anything else man, you an email me back, or just pm me on steam by addin KVGe | BOHICA to you steam friends.
I wish you the best bud
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned the permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
Well, my thoughts would be, the fact that he is actually trying this hard to get unbanned means that he likes the server and wishes to continue playing on it. But… the fact that they propspammed, which isnt allowed on most servers, showes that he was at least aware of what he was doing at the time. I personally hate prop spammers, beause it lags and crashes the server, and no one likes that. So, with all said and done, my response would be a temporary decline, with a chance of a reconsideration.
Why I should be promoted?
Becoming a admin will only strengthen my wisdom. I have become more patient with players, and learned to appreciate them reporting problems, I know it might sound weird, like who wants F1’s?.. Well I like doing them because I like to help people with problems or any questions they may have. I feel becoming a admin will allow me to help others better, including other Mods.
