Server 1 - www.gametracker.com/player/SamuraiSamurott/94.23.19.200:27015/

Age: 13

Estimated Server Time: 25+ Hours (The gametracker says I have played less, but i'm sure it is bugged or something.. I understand that this may not be enough but i'd just like to let whoever may be reading this know that should my moderator application be accepted I would make sure to dedicate more time on this server as I believe moderators should be active.)

Languages I speak: English

Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.

Random Deathmatch is an offense caused by killing another player with a poor reason or no reason at all, this is a serious offense as it can cause people to enjoy the server less if it happens consistently and can set a bad example to new players. An example of Random Deathmatch is stated below:

Player A is walking the streets of SSRP, being an ideal citizen and doing nothing wrong, branding no illegal firearms E.G. Player B walks up to him and shoots him to death, this is classed as Random Deathmatch as Player A was not threatening Player B and had not encountered him previously on the server.

Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.

New Life Rule is a rule enforced on most DARK RP servers where a player is not allowed to return to the area where he was deceased until they have waited a minimum time period. If a player does not wait this minimum time period and returns to the place where deceased he will breach new life rule-.. or NLR.
An example of breaching the new life rule is stated below:

Player A raids Player B to get some weapons and cash for him and his buddies to start a base together, however, Player A fails and is shot to death. When player A respawns he is angered and gathers his buddies to start a raid on Player B. Instead of waiting to pass his minimum NLR time, Player A returns to the place where deceased before waiting it out, therefore breaching the NLR rule. However, his buddies would not be punished as they were not breaking the NLR rule as they were not deceased at that place during the original raid.

Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.

Metagaming is the act of mixing Real Life and Ingame. This can be done in many ways, such as the player talking through their microphone whilst dead, which is deemed unrealistic.
An example of metagaming would be;

Player A has a valid reason to kill Player B and does so, however, when Player B is shot to death, he starts talking in his microphone screaming DM, which is mixing Real Life and Ingame as in Real Life the player wouldn't be able to talk whilst dead, but is using his Real Life microphone to communicate whilst his character is dead.

Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.

I would go to a place such as a roof top where less players would be and commence a mod sit, making sure that around the area it is clearly stated that it is a mod sit in textscreen, so that if a player Deathmatches or arrests someone during the modsit I would be able to punish them as they would know that it was a modsit. After the preparations are over, I would ask the two players to tell their sides of the story, and if the player who was accused of Deathmatches admits to it or the two stories can confirm that the player was Deathmatching, I would punish him accordingly. However, if I was not able to confirm that the player was Deathmatching I would redirect the accuser to the forums so that he can present his evidence along with a longer explanation on the events.

Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.

As with the Deathmatch situation, I would teleport the two players together and make sure it is clearly stated around the area that this is a modsit, before proceeding to listen to the two's stories and taking them both into consideration equally as much as eachother. If the player who was accused of breaking NLR admits to it or his story can confirm that he did, I would punish him accordingly, however if I was unable to confirm that he did break NLR, I would direct the accuser to the forums so that he can post valid evidence and the situation would be able to be dealt with more easily as it is hard to determine who breaks NLR.

Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided

I would teleport the player and I would have two ways to deal with the situation.

1 - If the player was new to roleplaying and may not have an idea of what Metagaming is (as this is metagaming) I would inform him of Metagaming and possible some other server rules and give him a verbal warning.

2 - If the player was used to roleplaying and had player the server for a while, I would tell him not to Metagame and give him a proper warning, if the situation continues to persist I would deal with him accordingly.

Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words).

I should be accepted as I would be able to dedicate a lot of my time to the server and I have previous administrative experience on other servers which means I would know what to do in certain situations which require a moderators presence. I have been a moderator on another DARK-RP server and I know the basics of moderating, I was also a moderator on a SA-MP server which has much stricter rules regarding roleplay meaning I would be fairly strict and not have the fact that some people may be my friends change my decisions. Another reason I should be accepted is that I consider myself a good RPer, which means I would be able to spot Metagaming and DMing quite easily. A further reason I should be accepted is that I wish for the server to have good progress, so I would always make sure to the best of my ability that other people's roleplay is up to the good standards of the server, giving people advice if it is not and punishing them if they break any rules. If I was accepted into the moderator team the server would have another good person to moderate the server and make sure it is a great place to be for people looking for a great DARK RP server to play in their spare time. If I was denied, the server would have missed a great opportunity.

Thank you :)

Your application is great but it really bothers me that your gametime is really low, even if you claim it to be 25 hours.

Hello SamuraiSamurott,
I was having a quick read over your App and I seen your NLR example I just want to point out to you that he would of raided twice which would of broken the 10min raid rule also. I recommend making a more clear example or reading over the rules of you didn't know this. I wil finish reading the rest of your app when I get home from work, also try getting your game time up a little more other than that Good Luck Buddy.

+Support, good application. Although gametime may not be the best you have shown in your application you can be decent as a mod.

First and foremost, we'd like to thank you for making the effort to apply for a rank on the ZARP Semi Serious DarkRP. Your application has been discussed at an administrative meeting, and from there it has been voted on.

Unfortunately as more staff members voted 'no' than 'yes', the application has been denied.

The meeting host has taken some criticisms made by the admins and provided you with this feedback:
Get more playtime

You are welcome to apply again at any point.
