Hi there, my name is Zan, also known as Zanster, Hawk, and my real name is Zayne. First off, I would like to say a few things before I begin. I have been a Moderator for about 2 weeks (at the time of the next meeting), which I know might not be much, but I have been a Moderator on ZARP before, a Moderator for around 4 months actually, and then promoted to Admin which I kept for 1 month before making one of the worst decisions I have ever made on gaming so far, I left ZARP to join another community, but I knew from the first month that I would end up rejoining ZARP not long after. I have been allowed to rejoin ZARP and I have been granted some of my trust back. As-well as being a Moderator on DarkRP, I am also one of the staff/builders on ZARP's Minecraft server, I was also a Moderator on Jailbreak but was removed from the staff-list as the new Jailbreak update was added on to the server and everyone had to reapply for their ranks, but I felt that I already had too much to do. The main reason why I am applying for Admin is because I feel that there is not enough that I can do during F1's, and I cannot do anything to the best of my ability. Sometimes I seem to be the only one online as I am up earlier and on later than most of the staff-members, and that is the time when everyone seems to break rules, so I feel that if I had more power to handle and use, I would be able to keep the server safer and more secure. (Please note that I will be copying some of the same essential things from my Moderator application, for example, my gametracker links).

Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin:
I feel that my time as a Moderator has been successful, and has taught me much about my job and how to handle certain situations, but also how to handle certain people. I have probably spent the most time as a Moderator out of everybody on the server, which has given me a lot of time to adapt and remember how to do certain commands, how to handle certain situations too. Being a Moderator (I believe) has also made me a lot more mature than I used to be and I think that I am more respected than I used to be. Being a Moderator has helped me in-game and IRL, and it has also allowed me to try and keep the server clean.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user):
A situation I have just recently encountered is when there are very racist and offensive members. These members are reported by other members but no proof is provided. I wish to watch a person to make sure they breaks no more rules, but I cannot as they stop when staff are nearby. If I had the spectate command, I would be able to watch rulebreakers without them seeing me and then be able to warn the rulebreakers for it.
If you had to write an email to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?
Hello there (player), if you are reading this, it means that you have been accepted as a Moderator! First and foremost, I would like to congratulate you on your promotion to Moderator. You have shown your dedication and rule-abiding on our server(s) and we think that you are able to do a good job as a Moderator.
In this quick email, I will explain the responsibilities of your job and new powers you have access to, I will be covering the following:
Your Job,
Commands,
Tools,
Your job:
Your job is to monitor the server with basic commands and powers to make sure that you keep the server safe and secure at all free time you have. The job that people will recognise you with is 'Mod On Duty', this job gives you a new title and player model for people to recognise from a mile away, so make sure that when you are considering helping out with help requests, make sure to be on duty. You may use your powers on how you believe is necessary, but use common sense when doing this, do not kick someone for RDM unless it was a mass RDM for example. Remember that other staff-members will be there too help you if you ever need it, and we will be watching you incase you ever make a mistake or somehow abuse your powers. If you ever need Administrator help, type '@ [Message]'. Remember to always remain calm and never insult other members, as they may report you for abuse.
Commands:
Commands can be used for any kind of situation, so memorise them all.
Warning: To warn someone that has broken a rule. you should type in chat '/warn <Steam ID/name> <Reason>'. Each player has 4 warns in total before being temp-banned. The first and second warns are simply to let people know that they have broken rules and that they are currently on the verge of being heavily punished. The third warn is an automatic kick, and on the fourth ban, the player will be automatically temporarily banned.
(Un)warn: To take back a warning you have given a player, type in chat '/unwarn <SteamID/name>'.
Teleporting: Teleporting is used for when you need to go to someone or bring someone to you or towards your cursor. You can type and of these in the chat:
'/tp <Steam Id/name>' (this brings players to your cursor) - '/goto <Steam Id/name>' (this teleports you towards another person) - '/bring <SteamID/name>' (this teleports players right to your location).
Freezing: This is used for if people keep on moving around during an f1, or when people are running away from you during an f1, ect. To use this; in chat you type this command: '/freeze <SteamID/name>' and '/(Un)freeze <SteamID/name>'
Slaying: This is used to kill a player. This is not used often, but you can do this by typing in '/slay <RP Name>'
Kicking: This command is used to kick someone from the server. Type this command in chat, '/kick <SteamID/name> <Reason>'
It is better to use all these commands through the TAB menu by clicking on their name this will prevent you from making a mistake. This will be very helpful to you.
Tools:
There are two tools and systems which you can use which are very helpful to you. These are: The Admin Keypad Cracker and the F1 Menu.
The Admin Keypad cracker (only avalible for Mods on duty) does a few things, first, it shows you where keypads are fixed too (which fading doors and such they control), and how long they fading doors stay active for. This will be useful in Fading door abuse reports.
The F1 Menu is the menu which shows all F1's that are submitted throughtout the server and how long ago they are submitted. Also, within the F1 menu, there are two other tabs, the logging tab (shows all log reports e.g leaving players, kills, arrests, warrants, etc.), a good thing about the logging tab is that it gives you the steamID of players, so you may punish them easier. The warnings tab shows all warnings that all staff members have put on players throughout the time that you have been on for, this is helpful for you to pick out members who have previously broken rules.
You wil have been trained by a Super-admin by now, they will try to look out for you the most.
We hope you enjoy and work hard.
Yours sincerely,
-Zan
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
I would reply to Player X with the following:
Hi Player X,
I believe that your ban appeal has had a lot of time and effort put into it, which I like, but this still does not change the fact that you could have lagged the server intensely. You must realise that what you did could have affected our player base massively which we would not take lightly.
Your time and effort put into this application will make me shorten your ban time to 1 week, just so that you learn your lesson and do not attempt this again.
Accepted.

Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 150 words):
I think I should be promoted because I have learned a lot as my time as Moderator. I understand most if not all of the changes to the rules and requirements since I left ZARP, and I try my best enforce them with good warns and making the person understand why I have warned them, I have tried to get to know people in the ZARP community that were not previously here and I have met quite a few people now, and they are always coming back to me for help. I may have made mistakes in the past, but I believe that I should be given a second chance. During my time as Moderator, I’ve made some good friends through this community and I feel that I should be able to help them more, and with Administrator, I believe I would be able to do this.
The fact that I see myself getting involved in more F1 situations especially when no other staff members are online, some f1's require me to ban people and such as my commands are limited to little, and there is not much I am able to do once somebody leaves besides sit and wait for someone with a higher status to fix my issues. A few months ago, I was lazy and less mature as-well as shy and such, I don't believe I am anymore. I am able to speak to people no problem and I try my best to be as out-going and helpful as possible to Staff-members and regular members. Overall, I feel that I can do more than what I am doing now, and I feel that my trust is starting to come back.
Yours faithfully,
-Zan
