Link to Steam Profile: steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198032338937/ SteamID: STEAM_0:1:36036604 Current Gametracker Profiles Server 1 – www.gametracker.com/poly54111/ (For some reason I have lots of issues with my Gametracker, and I’m not able to add my new name which includes the DBS to it so not sure if my stats are up to date, sorry about this. Sure some of the mods/admins can confirm that I’m active on both servers. Server 2 - Still not working for some strange reason, just like with my Mod app. Definitely play on server 2 though, sure people can confirm this. Age:16 Estimated Server Time: Around 140+hours on Zarp DRP Languages I speak: English Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin: During my time as a Moderator I have encountered a wide variety of F1 situations, which vary from Prop block and RDM all the way to prop spam and MassRDM and seeing how they affect people’s experience. Being a Mod gave me the ability to help many players with different issues that they had. It is a great feeling when I am able to mark an F1 as finished and the player making the F1 is happy and still wanting to RP and the player breaking the rule has learnt their lesson or even been taught something new from it. However as all Admins and Mods will now, A Mod has very limited resources to help in a situation which can make it very difficult to help people and resolve an issue in the most effective way. For example a simple prop block scenario can turn into a long and hefty situation if the player refuses to remove the prop, because you then have to try and find an Admin that’s not busy to remove the prop which can take a while if the server is busy and it also takes that Admins Rp time. Throughout my time as a Moderator I have also been able to socialise a lot more with some of the servers Mods/Admins which has been a crucial tool as great communication results in great RP I.E. helping each other out in F1’s or creating Server Events for everyone to play.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user).
Earlier this week on the server at one of its peak times I had to deal with someone who was prop spamming and Prop abusing. The player kept spawning several cylinder shapes all over the spawn. When I confronted him he started to delete them. So I warned him for prop spam because no Admin was free to respond to my call. I then went and dealt with another F1 on the small roof near spawn when I noticed the same player running in the tunnel prop pushing people with the cylinder and trying to trap them inside. Once again I confronted him about this behaviour and was warning him when he decides to spawn a cylinder and trap me. This was the final straw for me so I kicked him from the server for Prop spam and Trapping people. I then carried on dealing with F1 as we were very busy when one popped up saying something like ‘stuck’, I presumed it would just be the usual someone stuck in the wall but to my surprise it was this player back on the server (2mins after being kicked) Capturing people, including myself all over again. Once again I called an Admin but no one responded at first, however Naranja did but slightly too late as I kicked the player again. So back I go to deal with another F1 again in the spawn I notice the player back again, capturing more people underneath the roof, I called for an Admin as this was now a serious case but no one arrived. I then gave Horsey 3 warnings to see if being kicked that way would keep him of the server but he still was able to join and cause havoc and ruin everyone's time! So I immediately created a ban request on the Forums to put a stop to this player’s behaviour.
If you had to write an email to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?
Congratulations on receiving your new role as Moderator. Before you are able to become a Mod on Duty and start clearing out some of them F1’s there’s a few important commands that you’re goanna need to know. Also to receive your full Moderator Training and Rank you will need to find a Super Admin online. Best place to search is Server 1, if there not busy they’ll be more than happy to help you. All The commands that are given with the Moderator title should only be used when you are a Mod on duty and not in any RP situation. If you are RP as a gangster and someone makes and F1 saying they are stuck then sure stay as a gangster and TP them out but don’t use any of the commands to give you a RP advantage over other players. Commands: /TP: This is definitely going to be a command you use regularly. /TP allows you to teleport yourself to where you are looking, this is great for getting around quickly as a Mod and also to get to people. Another feature of TP is by going directly to the person that you want. You can do this by going /TP (player’s name). The opposite of this would be to use /Bring (player’s name) this function allows you to TP a player to your location, great for F1 situations. /Freeze (players name and length): This command is used to freeze a player which prevents them from moving around and also getting killed. This can be very useful in some F1 situations were a player keeps trying to run off or jump of a roof etc. /Warn (players name, Reason) This command is used to give a player a warning after breaking a rule. If a player receives 3 warnings they will be kicked for a certain amount of time and if they receive 4 then they will be banned for an ///: this is used to access the admin chat, a private chat which only staff members can view. This is handy for asking for assistance of Admins or asking for advice of another staff member. These are the main commands that you will need to know, During your training with a super admin they will teach you everything else there is to know. Just remember don’t abuse the commands. F1 Panel: As a staff member the F1 panel looks a lot different to before, instead of making the F1’s your receiving them. You have a 3 tabs at the top of the box, F1’s, warns and Logs. The f1 section is where you are able to sort through everyone’s issues and see who is handling what. The Warn section is where you are able to view any previous warnings which have been given on a player and the reason, you are also able to remove warnings from players in case you have warned the wrong person. The Logs, This is the section that will get allot of use! The logs show basically everything that a player has done from who they have killed, who killed them, who arrested them etc. These will be very useful to work out who’s lying and also to see whose rule breaking. So there you have it, A brief introduction into becoming a Moderator. A super Admin will tell you everything in allot more detail when you go for your training. Feel free to speak to myself or any of the other staff members as were all happy to help.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be? Due to player x putting great detail and being apologetic and that it is there first ban I would unban them on that basis. This is what I would respond Dear player x, Thank you for taking time to fill out you ban appeal with great effort. Here on Zarp DarkRP we class Propspam as a serious rule break and do not tolerate it at all, this is why you received your ban. However reading through your Ban appeal I cans see you have gone into great detail and effort to create this and also thank you for your apology that you gave. With this in mind and the fact that this is your first, and hopefully last ban I have come to the conclusion to unban you from the Zarp server on these terms. If you are caught with a major rule break you will be banned again no exception. If me or any other staff member catch you rule breaking on the server your punishments will not be treated so lightly. However during your time away from the server I feel that you have reflected upon your mistake and have made the right decision to have a new start. Thank you for taking time to complete this ban appeal and I will hopefully see you in game sometime soon. Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 150 words). I feel that during my time as moderator I have come a very long way, I have socialised allot more with the community and have learnt how to effectively handle F1’s with the commands and tools that I am given. I feel that being promoted to Admin would give me the ability to help the Zarp server at my full potential. I would be able to complete F1’s allot quicker than as a mod and also I wouldn’t have to keep asking current mods to leave what they are doing to remove a prop etc. I Also feel that Moderators aren’t given enough respect by some of the players for example when you turn up to an F1 and they demand to see an Admin as Mods are useless and can’t do anything or when they refuse to remove prop block and says what are you going to do your only a mod. Yet again this waist more time as you than have to wait for a mod that free to come and deal with the situation which isn’t fair on them at all. Another reason why I would like to be promoted is so that I can help to run events for the community, Today on server 2 the Gamer Guy was organising an event which I tried to help but not having all the commands makes it super hard, plus you have to be admin to run events. I also have allot of dupes for the server 2 event section that I would like to use to hopefully get server 2 popular again as today’s event seemed to go great. When actually on DarkRP a good 90% of my time is actually spent as mod on duty dealing with F1’s as I don’t like people having to wait to have their problems solved so I believe if I was promoted these would get allot quicker so everyone can enjoy there RP. Thanks for taking time to read through my application. And once again sorry about the Gametracker bug. |

Poly is a kind, mature, hard working Moderator. And as Blocked said, there has been times where you've handled server 2 by yourself, and that is very good. Your a great guy poly.

I'm sorry I'm not using the version of my feedback, but I do not have enough time left before the meeting to answer all the SSRP applications using it. So I'll just summarize everything, the long version includes in order to keep my opinions fair.
Time & Activity. Your activity and play time on ZARP, is enough to get you administrator judging from the fact that gametracker is also inaccurate along with the fact that others have gotten accepted having a LOT less. Application Info & Design. I appreciate the face that you explained the F1 system, but if you could ad all the commands that the moderator gets, along with how to use the admin keypad checker, I would give you a + Support on this part, for now its a Neutral. You've worked well on your app, made it simple yet organized. My opinion about you To be honest, I've not seen enough of you to judge you in this part, so I'll just leave it as neutral. Other people's Opinion's about you (won't affect my verdict much) You've received a lot of + Supports, so all I can say is: Keep up the good work! My Final Verdict:+ Support
Protect by ZARP, do not copy idea or design.

First and foremost, we'd like to thank you for making the effort to apply for a rank on the ZARP Semi Serious DarkRP. Your application has been discussed at an administrative meeting, and from there it has been voted on. Unfortunately as more staff members voted 'no' than 'yes', the application has been denied. However, the meeting host has taken some criticisms made by the admins and provided you with this feedback: Needs to put more dedication to the role ingame. You are welcome to apply again at any point. |
