Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
Random Death Match - When another player kills a different player with no roleplay reason or any reason that the player should be killed.
Scenario - Player 1 kills Player 2 because Player 2 was trolling on a different server and Player 1 thought that Player 2 would start trolling here so Player 1 stopped it before it happened.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
New Life Rule - When you die or are killed you are not allowed to return to the same place for 3 minutes.
Scenario - Player 1 was killed by Player 2 who was a Cop. Player 1 returns and kills the cop, and then returns into his house.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Metagaming is defined as giving out information or using other factors that could affect gameplay by giving out information that a character would previously not be aware of.
Scenario - A player dies he then comes back in another life and uses information that he had obtained before he died to his advantage in a new life.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
First, goto player x and ask him why that he could of been killed, or if there was any reason that could of caused player y to be killed. I would take both player x and y to a building roof to check out both of their stories, If player y does not specify a valid RP reason that would add up to the other players story, I would warn him for RDM and return him to where he had previously been.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
I would bring both players to a quiet place for a chat, I would then ask player y why he had been killed by this player twice. I would also ask player y if he had been killed twice at the same place. There are two ways this could go, 1 way, is that player y is new to the server, and he does not understand what NLR is, if this is the situation, I would warn him for NLR and explain to him what he has done wrong. The 2nd way that this situation could go, is that player y had broken NLR and was fairly settled down in the server, and had been playing for a while, if this is the case, I would just warn him for NLR and return him to where he had been previously. Because it is at a peak time, where the server is at its fullest, I would already know that the kills had been pretty close together, and that if player x is accusing player y of NLR, it most likely is at peak time.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
This is giving out in character information to players in out of character chat. This is not allowed and is defined as "Metagaming". I would warn the player about metagaming and what metagaming is and that he is not allowed to use OOC chat to give in character information to others for his aid.
Why I should be chosen: Well, I'm very mature for my age, I've owned two communities, one of which was very successful. I have lots of experience in moderation, being a moderator on TechSource DarkRP and a few basewars servers. I have had very little admin experience, and I understand that you do not use ULX. However, I would like to try to learn how this server enforces moderation. I can see both perspectives of a situation, review logs to match stories and situations, and I can assess and make judgements under pressure and in needed situations. I know I've been warned a few times for rulebreaking, but I would like to learn from my mistakes and turn towards the good way. I think now is my time to apply for moderator to help make the server and community a warm and welcoming place for new players to settle in and play in and to keep it in a sweet-spot for the existing players, to keep them feeling safe in our community.
Thank you, and I hope you consider my application!
