Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin.
I feel that the time I have spent has a Moderator will contribute to me being an Admin is because I have learned how to handle a lot of different situations. I've learned not to be to easy or harsh on people just make it FAIR for everyone. I feel that I am well respected has a Moderator and this will pass over to me being an Admin. I do a good amount of F1's and this has been recognized by other staff members. I don't get frustrated when I'm in the middle of a F1 and someone starts yelling or just plain old rude I take it all with a grain of salt.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user).
One situation that sticks out was when a user kept coming and leaving so quickly It was hard to get warnings in for me to ban him for the hr. He would load in the game Kill people in spawn and then leave right away. I had his Steam id but I couldn't just ban him right on the spot so I had to sit at spawn for a while to keep catching him come on and warn him every time he would load in.
( I did save the proof and his steam ID and he got perm'ed soon has I got in contact with an Admin )
If you had to write an email to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?
Hello, Congrats on becoming apart of our Staff Team. We hope you enjoy yourself and work on moving up in the ranks. If you ever need any help after we have gone through our tutorial on commands/powers you can contact any of the staff and they will be more than willing to help you.
Commands/Powers
Warning: To warn someone that has broken a Rule you can type /warn <Steam ID> <Reason>. Three Warnings with result in a kick After the forth warn they will get a hour ban.
Unwarn: This is used in the situation where the wrong person was warned. You can type /unwarn <Steam ID> then it will remove (1) warning at a time.
Teleporting: Teleporting is used for when you need to go to someone for such things as F1's or your in a F1 and you need to bring someone to you.
/tp <Steam Id>/goto <Steam Id>/bring <Steam Id> <Steam Id> ( This is easier if you use the Tabmenu )
Freezing: This power is used for people who are Mass Rdm'in or running away from you the command to do this is /freeze <Steam Id> and /unfreeze <Steam Id>
Slaying: This power is used to kill someone, this should rarely ever be used has its more of a trolling power and you shouldn't need to slay someone when you can freeze them.
/slay Steam Id or just click on there name in the scoreboard and use the option there.
Kicking: This power is used to KICK/Remove someone from the server for things such as Prop spam and you need them and you need them gone right away because the server is lagging.
/kick <Steam Id> <Reason> * Its Better to Warn them 3x for such things because then they can be banned on the 4th Warning *
Igniting: This power is used to set people on fire, its pretty much a troll Command and I can't think of a single reason someone would use it in a real F1 situation.
( Most of these commands are located in the Tab menu which makes things a lot easier and this also prevents you from using a command on the wrong person. )
F1 Menu
The F1 Menu is used to Answer "Calls" it will state who the player is that is reporting the issue the reason and priority of time it has been there. With in this menu you can do things such has GOTO/BRING. The other sections in the F1 menu are Warnings, You can see who has warnings and if need be you can Unwarn someone from there also. Then there is the Logs tab which will show the current logs for the server such has name changes, Disconnects, Kills and CMD's, You can search a players name in the Logs menu too.
Mod on duty
When you are Mod on duty you get a tool called "Keypad Checker" this tool will let you check if a keypad is hooked up to a door or if a door has a keypad attached to it and how many. When you are a mod on duty You can NOT role-play, Make Money, Or Base with anyone.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for prop spam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
I would start of by looking over there ban appeal and the effort they put in to it then I would decide if they mean what they say. If I think they mean what they say I would lower there ban but still make sure they still understand that they are being punished for what they did and that the ban will stick next time.
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 150 words).
I should be chosen for a Promotion because I'm a fair and understanding person, It don't matter to me if they are Friends, Gang Members or Family if they need a warning they will receive one. I like to think that I help people out has much as I can with the Mod tag so with the Admin Tag I could be even more useful. I also believe I should become Admin because I spend most of my free time after work playing SSRP on this server and sometimes there isn't no admins/mods on and it could come in pretty handy When mods are asking for someone to be unbanned from a job or need a prop Spammer/Rdm'er Banned from the server. This will also be a step forward to my goal of becoming a Super Admin and being know for helping everyone. Thank you for taking your time and reading all this, Please provide any feed back.
