TOPIC: [Minecraft] Hawk's Application

Hello there my fellow Minecraft players and others, my name is Hawk A.K.A many others (Hawkitheus, Zan, Zanster, etc.) and this is my application to become a staff-member on ZARP-Gaming's Minecraft server. Please leave good responses in a reply and/or constructive criticism. Thank you for taking your time to read this.

Minecraft IGN:

My current in-game name is zanster9999, but I am looking to make a new account (or wait for the possible name change in 1.8.) and change my name to something involving Hawk.

Estimated time spent in the ZARP community:

I have been involved in the ZARP community for around 10 months (Early October 2013), but I have been away from the Community due to issues involving Chris, Chute and a few others, this will be in more detail below.

Age & D.O.B:

I am currently 14 years of age and my birthdate is during November 1999.

Have you ever been banned from a ZARP server?

I wouldn't exactly say I was banned from a ZARP server, I more had issues with Chute and Chris involving former members such as Penguin and Crazyswiss, about Chris' attitude at the time (it has improved) and somehow we got into an argument about the icons used on the ZARP TeamSpeak or something, I cannot quite remember, but I cannot go into full detail on anything as I am not sure if the people involved would allow me to say. Anyway, I then resigned and was banned by Chris on the forum, but was shortly unbanned thanks to fixed complications and me wanting to rejoin ZARP.

Do you have any past experience in Minecraft server administration?

Ohh, yes, I have had enough experience with Minecraft server administration and development. I have been a staff-member on roughly 9 servers, which most of them I resigned from. I did once Super-administrate a relatively popular server (avg. 200 players) but was demoted from that server due to inactivity during a personal incident which I do not wish to share at this time. (This was just before I joined ZARP and looked into other communities.)

Languages you are fluent in:

I would rate my English at around a 9/10 if not 10/10, I have a decent amount of knowledge in Urdu (Asian language) and I am currently learning French and German in school and learnt Spanish during primary/junior school. I am also getting a bit of help from a few dutch friends to help me learn their language.

Where are you from?:

I am from England and I live in England. I am towards the North in Lancashire.

What does griefing mean?:
Griefing is when a player tries to create annoyance, disruption, and irritation and make someone angry and such through using the powers of construction and destruction (e.g: putting lava everywhere and blowing up the server using TNT), and can also be used to when someone bad has happened, you may here some people say "Good grief!".

Describe situation where player is disrespectful on main chat .
Player A gets into an arugment with Staff-Member A about spamming, Player B then decides to get involved and help Staff-Member A in trying to get his point across, in act of being proven wrong by Player B and Staff-Member A, Player A goes on a rampage and spams the chat calling every member and the server hateful words. Staff-Member B then kicks and then bans Player A for disrespect, ignorance, spamming and harassing every member and the server.


How are you going to deal with following situation?:
Player A killed all members from faction owned by player B. Player A killed all of Players B faction members. Player A claimed their terrains and Player B called Staff member with reason “Cheating”.
Faction A is accusing Faction B for unfair PVP between them. How are you going to explain situation?

First off, I would ask for proof/evidence of which Player A was cheating (e.g: a video), Player B could just be really angry and thought of a reason to put his ally in punishment. If Player B does not have any proof/evidence of Player A cheating, then I would have to say that Player B is making false accusations as far as I am aware. As for unfair PVP, I would say that just because Player B's faction is trying to team up on Player A, does not mean that it is unfair PVP. Faction meaning: a small organized dissenting group within a larger one, especially in politics. Player B's faction was just playing as a group, but failed. Overall, no punishment would come to either players unless Player B has good proof/evidence that Player A was cheating, which would then lead to punishment.

Please describe your personality (50 words):
I believe that I am all friendly, kind and a helpful person when I put my mind to it. I may not be all that confident and I may not be able to speak up at times, but when I need to, I can be one of the most serious (and immature at times) people, able to deal with tough situations without MUCH hesitation and disturbance. I also believe I am very courageous and able to help people in their time of need, but I can have a little bit of a laugh with people when it's necessary. Overall, I believe I am a very good person, but I can lose patience sometimes, but only when I get really annoyed, that is why I have a fan on all the time to keep me cool and chilled.

Why you? (100 words):
As said, I believe that I can change my mood and attitude depending on where or what I am doing, which I believe is needed for a Staff-Member. You need to be able to adapt to situations, be a bit more strict during the rule breaking/important situations, and have a laugh and joke when it is okay. As also said, I have had a lot of experience administrating Minecraft servers and such, meaning I know what to do in certain situations, and being able to deal with the toughest of situations. I believe I am a good builder in Minecraft too, I have a good knowledge in the different build styles and I am able to complete them to good standards, which is good. My time on Minecraft is around 2/3 years, which means I have a good experience in Minecraft overall. I think that I am able to make a good contribution to the Minecraft staff-team and to make the server become safer, and more successful.
