Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin: Through my time, I have had my ups and downs. I've gone from Loving the role to even resigning as the role. I've realised that over time, I'm not going to let anyone's opinions change my mind as a Moderator. I think i've learn't an exceeding amount of commands such as /kick, /warn , although I mainly use the Tab System as it's easier. Overall, I'm ready for this admin role.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user):
Suprisingly, I haven't had an obstacle through being a Moderator. If I have, they've been minor like them not thinking they've broke a rule.
If you had to write an email to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?
I've already trained a Moderator before, under an Admin's supervision.
Hello, today I'm going to teach you all about the commands and role of a Moderator.
To start off with, we will go through general commands that you will use alot.
Firstly, we will start off by going through commands. The /warn command is only used under the commence of when you handle an F1, if your certain that they've broke a rule, do /warn <name> <Reason>. If they start screaming at you, or giving you grief, or even telling you that your abusive. Tell them to go to
www.zarpgaming.com and make an official complaint.
Secondly, we will go over the /kick command, the /kick command is used if they build on your stuff and you've asked them politely numerous times. Only use this when there isn't an Admin online to remove it.
Thirdly, we will go over the F1 System. The F1 system is used to handle situations that the players have made. If you press F1, you should see that there's complaints by people. It will have there name and their problem. You right click, Handle it, and once your done, right click on it again and 'Mark as Finish'. Whenever your online, you should get as many as these done this is because, the players are the priority.
And Finally, when you switch to the Moderator on Duty Class, you should see you have this Admin checker weapon, this is used for checking for FDA ( Fading Door abuse ). You shoot at the Keypad and see if it's linked up to anything, if not, then it's Fading Door abuse which you should them how to fix that. If they refuse, warn them and have it abolished.
Moving onto the other commands - Teleport, Slay, slap, Ignite, Freeze
There is currently 3 different ways of teleporting. This can be done through commands or even used in the Tab System.
/tp <Player> <Player> This command allows you to teleport certain players (including yourself) to the location where your looking at. Wherever your cross-hair is aiming, you teleport to that location - This can also be done by a Key bind which is set in the console. You can use it in a number of ways. /tp will teleport you to where you are looking. ./tp <player> will teleport the selected player to where you are looking. And finally /tp <player> <player> will teleport the first player to the second player. This is used in F1 situations
/bring <player> This command teleports the selected player to you. Usually, you never Bring people in an F1 situation. You should Goto them and ask them "Hello sir, How may I help to your F1?".
/goto <player> This command teleports you to the selected player. This is always used in an F1 situation. Once you arrive, greet them and once your finished, wish them a nice day and ask them if they need anything else doing.
/back <player> This allows you to teleport the selected player (or yourself if no player is selected) to their previous location before being teleported. Used at the end of an F1 when you are finished with the reported player.
Few little key things on being a Moderator :
-Do F1's whenever possible, the players are your priority. It's your job to support them and help them to the best of your ability.
-If there is a command that is limited, meaning that only admins + can do, then don't hesitate to contact an admin + Through the /// command.
-Must follow rules, they do apply despite you being staff.
-Don't abuse your powers. I.e; Don't Kill others using /slay <name> when raiding.
Congratulations on becoming a Moderator from behalf of the Administrative team.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
Hello sir, how are you?
It seems that you were banned permanently for PropSpam. Your appeal seems like your eager to be unbanned, which is understandable. Though, prop-spamming is a serious rulebreak, as this can lead to a possible server-crash. You have put massive detail into this, which I think you should be honoured for. Therefore, I will put your ban down to 2 Weeks, however, if this happens again, It will lead to a debation of a Permanent ban.
Your appeal has been
Accepted, for anymore questions, Feel free to contact either me or another staff member.
Why I should be promoted (longer answer expected here - at least 150 words).
Through my experience of a Moderator, I have loved it. There has been alot of rule-breaking, which I have handled. Though, it's been an amazing, and whacky experience. I've had people been banned for breaking rules such as MASS RDM, Mass RDA, Mass NLR Breaking. I will actually admit that I have broke 1 Minor rule before, but it was accidental and wasn't intentional. Which staff member hasn't broke a rule? Usually, it comes to a conclusion of just me and some other Moderators being online, due to my powers being limited, I don't have the power to ban or anything further. For Instance, there was a guy mass RDMING , when it was just me and Moderators online, I couldn't do anything, other than get his steam Id and kick him. I've had people claiming to have False demotions, which I can't unban them or undemote them from the role. If I had Administrator powers, it would give me the ability to push myself further, as I would be able to use more commands which can be extremely helpful. Especially when there is no other admin's online. Overall, I have enjoyed being a Moderator so far, obviously, I haven't been on Moderator for long, although I think I'm ready for this role. I have progressed alot, personally speaking and I think I've also done a good job. I am taking the adivce that was giving in my previous attempt to get admin, which was not to be optismitic. As I mentioned earlier, I did want to resign, until Dcxbigdaddy persuaded me not to. ( He has some magical power). I have worked on that, and thought thoroughly about it.
That sums up my Admin application, don't feel the need to reply instantly, take your time and thank you for reading.
Kind regards,
ArmyHawk
