Semi-Serious Role Play (SSRP)
Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
Random Death Match (RDM) is when an individual kills or attacks another individual for no valid RP reason.
Exemplar: Player "X" runs around with a gun as a citizen. He runs across Player "Y" and shoots him immeditately. He then quickly holsters his weapon and runs away, acting like nothing ever happened. Checking the kill logs, Player "Y" has killed Player "X" a couple minutes ago. Likely, Player "X" has killed Player "Y" for revenge. If Player "Y" can confirm he has killed Player "X" and give a valid RP reason, Player "X" will be guilty if RDM.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
New Life Rule, (NLR) is when you forget everything in your past life, and cannot return to the area/district where you died. These are usually separated by tunnels. If a player has died in the spawn area, he can move out and not be called out for breaking NLR, although he must stay out of that area for the remainder of the 3 minutes.
Exemplar: Player "X" is a thief and raids Player "Y"s home/base. Player "Y" successfully defends against Player "X", killing him. Player "X" then comes back to the same base immediately after spawning and kills Player "Y". This is classified as breaking NLR because Player "X" came back to the same district where the base was and killed Player "Y". This is also breaking the rule in which you cannot raid the same base within a 30 minute time frame.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Metagaming is using the OOC (Out Of Character) chat for saying something designated for IC (In Character) chat, or vice versa. This can happen both in-game and on the forums for IC threads and OOC threads.
Exemplar: Player "X" states in OOC chat, "Hey Player "Y", lets meet at spawn". Player "X" is metagaming because he is setting up an IC meeting in OOC chat. Player "Y" can also be called out for metagaming if he contributes more IC statements in OOC.
Later, Player "X" yells out "NLR" using the /advert command. This is metagaming because what he has said is OOC, while saying it in IC chat.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
I would get Player "Y" to tell me why he has killed Player "X". If he cannot provide a valid RP reason, I will warn him. Furthermore, if Player "Y" does give a valid RP reason, in which he mugged Player "X", I will ask for proof, (Screenshot or Video) consisting of a /me and Player "X" in the proof as well. If Player "Y" cannot provide proof, I will ask Player "X" for proof that Player "Y" RDM'd him. If the evidence does not show a /me being said, I will warn Player "Y" for RDM and lying in a sit. If neither can provide proof, I cannot convict Player "Y" of RDM, as I do not have proof, and the sit ends with both players being returned to their RP state.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
First of all, I would ask for proof from Player "X" confirming that Player "Y" has broke NLR to kill him. If the proof is valid, Player "Y" will be warned. This will be the fastest way to convict Player "Y" of RDM and move on to the next F1. If he cannot provide proof, I will ask Player "Y" for his side of the story, and proof to back it up. Also, I will ask why Player "X" killed Player "Y", confirming that no RDM is present. If Player "Y" can show proof that he had no choice but to defend himself, (For example, Player "X" started shooting him on sight) Player "Y" will not be warned, and Player "X" warned for RDM in the second kill.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
I would give a verbal warning to Player "X" and ask him not to do that, and rather, say it in PM or use /advert to call for police. If this is ongoing, I will warn him. There is not much to ask for.
Why I should be chosen
The SSRP servers have quite a handful of staff. But not all of are on at the same time. There are gaps most days where there is a large amount of F1's to handle, and only a couple people to do them. I've sent some F1's that have taken at most, an hour until somebody responds to it. I feel that I can help close the gap, as well as the other handful of people being accepted into staff. I can help with as many F1's as I can. Especially since I've grown out of the server's roleplay, meaning I have more time to be on duty and help out. I also can help out while roleplaying if I'm not doing anything too important. During this summer, I am widely available to be on the servers, since I have no vacations or any long periods of time I will be offline. I try to balance my times on both server 1 and 2.
Also, I have moderator experience on another server, Crossfire Gaming. (
My Application) I am no longer staff there due to my inactivity. I know how to deal with sits and keep the server under control. I know basic DarkRP rules and ZARP's own specific rules. I am mature when it comes to these situations, and keep calm. I know what rule is being broken. I never swear in sits as they raise tensions and cause fights. I can keep people calm and collected, making F1's a breeze, given that the people aren't already heated up.
I have the traits needed to be a moderator, such as maturity, solving problems, and knowledge. I have been warned a few times, when migrating to this server months ago, as I was not farmiliar with the rules here. Now that I know the rules, I help others who are unclear of specific rules, and direct them to the rules thread. I believe I can help enforce these rules, and close the gaps where there are too many F1's and not enough staff to deal with them quickly.
I think the SSRP servers are great, and very original, with some things I've never seen on other servers. It would be great if I could help with the community. That being said, the population is always growing, which means more staff will be needed. I am willing to help and devote my time to helping with the F1's and improving the community.
Time spent reading this application is appreciated.

~Naranja
