Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
random death match most commonly known as RDM is when one player kills another player without a vaild Rp reason. when it comes to mutants it is only rdm if they kill you outside of the sewers. if mutants are out the sewers players that arn't mutants can attack them.
Example
Guy1: say’s something with squeaky voice.
Guy2: damn squeaker die “gunshot” guy1 dead.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
NLR is where you have been killed and are unable to return to the area where you died for about 3 mins. if you return to the area where you died say if you were raiding it's called breaking NLR if you do this it gives and unfair advantage.
example
Guy1: Dies from being raided.
Guy1: The guy is annoyed and doesn't want to lose his drugs or printers whatever he has and returns to kill the raider
Raider: Gets killed and reports him for NLR.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Say someone is advertising there shop or something in /ooc that would be wrong they need to use /advert for.
/ooc is only for question or public messages.
example
Bob says in OOC, that he is being raided at main street in the hotel on the second floor, and he needs help. This gives Bob an advantage, as someone may come and help and Bob wins, therefor Bob gets an unfair advantage (unfair to other players). Bob would then get a warning or a verbal warning for his Metagaming
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
First of all, I would check the logs to see if x was actually killed, if not I would warn him for abusing f1.
If they was killed, then I would take x to a non-rp area, ask x who killed him, then I would check the logs again, to see if they was killed by that player, if so then I would carry on, I would first ask x to explain everything which happened, then I would ask y about everything which happened, if they both said different things, then I would ask x for any proof (videos, pictures etc.). If they don't have any proof, + I didn't see it happen. I would also ask if their was any witnesses. If there were none, or they still told a different story to the other two, then their may be nothing I could do. I would also look at their jobs, if x was a mutant, and x says he was killed on the street, then obviously it wouldn't be RDM (read mutant rules). If x was killed in a building I would check for a KOS sign, and just in case they were trying to trick me into thinking it was their all along, I would look again, for when x died, and when the KOS text screen was created. I would also consider thinking about if x was killed in the PD as a job from "The Bad" section, and y was a police officer, I would check to see if y was saying "Get out" and stuff like that, and I would also ask x if he was in a raid at all. If they did have proof( IF they did) (As that is extremely helpful at times, when they tell different stories) I would look at the proof, and decide from there. If it all adds up that y RDM'd x, then I would give y a warning and explain that he can't RDM. And I would explain to y about the RDM rules.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
i would check the logs and see when x killed y if y then killed x within the 3 mins of NLR time then i would warn y for NLR and explain to him why and what NLR is if he doesn't understand why it's in place.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
I would tell him that he should have done /broadcast instead as what he has done there is and example of metagaming If he has been known for rule breaking on the server before then i'd probably warn him if not i would just ask him to be more careful next time he uses out of character (OOC)
Why I should be chosen (longer answer expected here - at least 150 words).
I would like to be chosen for Mod rank as I understand the rules and agree to follow them. I've helped out new people to the server who didn't know what to do and reported players for disobeying the rules. Sometimes when I am on the server I see mods not doing their job and just abusing their powers. Admins working extremely hard and could probably do with some of the smaller issues they can’t be bothered to take care of. I haven’t been a admin or mod on any server before but I will treat all players equally if I’m chosen and will report staff members for not following the rules as they should respect the rules more than anyone else as their enforcing them. I will join in with ts3 dark RP meetings and give my opinion if there should be changes to rules. I will attended both Zarp server 1 and 2 as best I can and for as long as I am able to play for bearing in mind we are in the summer holidays and I do have a social life
