SSRP Rules:

Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario:

This is when a player kills another player for no reason, and has no motive, If it is a mug/raid then it will not count as rdm. E.g. Player "X" is a gangster, Player "Y" is a shop owner, Player "X" walks into Player "Y"'s shop, equips a gun and then kills player "Y" without any warning, and also hadn't said anything in the chat. After player "X" kills player "Y" he then leaves the shop, and doesn't continue with what could of been classed as a raid, and as all he did was kill player "Y" then leave, this would be "RDM" as player "X" killed player "Y" with no reason/motive or warning.

Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario:

This is the rule, which helps enforce role-play. The NLR rule is active when you have died, it makes sure that you continue role playing because you have to pretend that no one you see you have met before as you are a new person and would no remember your old life. When you die, you cannot go back to the area in which you died for 3 minutes, which is a suitable time as it lets most of what has happened, go. Also when you die you can't try and seek revenge on the person that killed you because you would not know that it was them in your new life. E.g. Player "X" is a thief and player "Y" is a Drug dealer. Player "X" mugs player "Y" but player "Y" does not have the 4k that player "X" is demanding for. Player "X" then kills player "Y" for not paying the money that he asked for, this happened just outside of where player "Y" was basing, and player "Y" then goes back to his death place before the 3 minutes are over and moans at player "X" for mugging him. This would be a heavy rule break of NLR from player "Y" as he has gone back to his death point before the 3 minute cool down, also with NLR he should not speak to player "X" as if they was just with each other as he is now a new player and they would have never met before.

Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.

This is a rule which stops people from writing OOC "Out of character" chat in IC "In character" chat. E.g. Saying "Selling steel 10k each" in OOC. This would be rule breaking as whomever is saying this is still roleplaying whilst selling the steel, but would be saying it in OOC chat which is for only out of character purposes so this would be meta gaming. Another example of it would be if someone did "/advert" RDM!" this would be meta gaming as advert is only business purposes and rule breakings should be dealt with in an F1 and should not be complained about in an F1.

Explain how you would handle the following situation:

Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
I would start of by bringing player "X" onto a rooftop with just me and him, I would then ask him what he was doing before getting "RDMed" once I hear his side of the story I would bring player "Y" onto the rooftop with me and player "X" and I would ask him if he "RDMed" player "X" if he says yes then I would give him a warning for RDM and check if he killed any other people to find out if it was mass RDM, if he says he did not RDM player "X" I would ask why he killed him, if he gives a valid reason I would ask either of them if they have any proof, if they do no then I would let player "Y" go without a warning or a verbal warning. I would tell player "X" that I will be watching player "Y" for a while to make sure that he doesn't RDM anyone. I would also make sure that the reason player "Y" gives is allowed considering the job he is, E.g. if player "Y" says he mugged player "X" and he was a medic I would warn him for failRP if he had not changed job recently.

Explain how you would handle the following situation:

Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
Firstly I would teleport to player "X" and ask him if he has any proof, I would do this to try and speed up the F1 as it is in peak times so I could solve more problems. I would make sure that I did not rush it enough to effect the outcome of the F1. If he says that he does then I would ask to see it. If he does not have proof then I would teleport, Myself, player "X" and player "Y" to a rooftop, this is so that no one can interfere with the F1, Once I saw the logs I would ask why the first kill happened making sure that it was not RDM, once that problem is sorted I would then find out why the next kill happened if they could not give a valid reason I would warn for RDM and NLR, if he did give a valid reason then I would find out where both the kills happened to find out if he went back to his place of death which would also be a rule breaking of NLR. If after all of this I did find anything wrong I would warn whoever broke the rule.

Explain how you would handle the following situation:

Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
Firstly I would spectate the raid to make sure that no rules such as FDA or NLR are broken, once the raid is over I would teleport to the banker and tell him not to do that again as it is meta gaming and against the rules and would only give him a verbal warning, but if I noticed that he was an experienced player or that he had broken a lot of rules before, or I knew he had a good understanding of metagaming then I would give him a warning for metagaming. I would also leave him with the advice that next time he should use pm to anyone that he thought would be able and allowed to help.

Why I should be chosen (longer answer expected here - at least 150 words):

I have been playing on ZARP's DarkRP servers for a long time now (Server 1 and 2) and have had some encounters in F1's where I have misunderstood a rule or someone else has and I have reported it, I think that this makes me perfect for moderator as I have seen first hand how many mods/admins and even super admins have dealt with situations such as NLR, RDM, FDA and metagaming. I have made many allies on the both of the servers which I talk to on a regular basis, and have made much more friends than I have enemies. I also have learnt all of the rules and have a near perfect understanding of them. I find my self as a very calm person and will not get easily annoyed by silly remarks so this will make me very good in a F1 situation, I will also make sure that the friends that I have made on the server will not get in the way of my moderator duties and if they break rules I will not think twice before warning them. Although I did get a minor banned from server 1 once because I didn't have a full understanding of the rules when I was new to the server. I have learned from all of the mistakes I have made on both ZARP servers and think that I have become a better player because of them.
I am very kind on the server to other players E.g. if they are new to the server and want to go to the mine then I will offer to meet them at the spawn and walk them to the mine, this is just one of the many things I would do to help make someone’s game and roleplaying experience more fun.

I think I would fit in great with all the ZARP staff has I have already spoke to most of them and have made friends with some. I also think that all of them have dedicated a lot of time to the server and are doing a great job!

One slight problem with the server in my opinion is that their are many times that I have been online and there has been mass RDM at spawn or even prop block simply because of the fact that there was no staff online, but if I was a moderator with my high amount of game time I would be able to decrease the amount of times this happens and let more people have fun on the server.

I have showed a lot of my friends this server since I first found it and many of them have stayed on it and spent lots of fun filled hours on it. I would love to be able to be a moderator on the server just knowing that I can help people with all of their problems and let them worry less and have more fun on the server.
Thank you to everyone that has read this and supported it and even the people that didn't.

I hope to see you all on the server in the future.

Thank you for your time and have a nice day!

First and foremost, we'd like to thank you for making the effort to apply for a rank on the ZARP Semi Serious DarkRP. Your application has been discussed at an administrative meeting, and from there it has been voted on.

As the number of 'yes' votes exceeded the number of 'no' votes you received, you have been accepted.

Towards the bottom there is a button leading you to a download of a 'welcome pack' (moreso intended for new moderators) - this will give you a brief insight into your duty and how to do it, but before we can give you your rank you will have to attend a training session. You can ask any superadmin for your training..

You need to attend a weekly meeting on our Teamspeak server (IP is 94.23.19.200), it would also be appreciated if you can click the banner in my signature and add me on steam so that we can manage the meetings more easily.

Congratulations on behalf of the administrative team.
