DarkRP Application:

Explain “Random Death Match” and give a scenario.

Random Death Match (RDM) is killing someone with out a reason or motive, eg: mugging someone or a raid. These would be valid reasons.

Example: A Drug Dealer is running to sell his shrooms and weed, he runs past a Gangster, who pulls out a gun and sprays him and kills him. This would be RDM because there was no reason for why the Gangster killed him.

Explain “New Life Rule” and give a scenario.

New Life Rule (NLR) is that when a player dies they must live a “new life” and cant go back to where they died or interact with anyone in there past life. If you died at spawn it is ok to leave. ZARP provides a 3-minute NLR countdown at the top of the screen.

Example: A Group of Gangster get raided, while the raiders are in their base the Gangsters respawn and run back to base and kill all the raiders again and stay in their base cleaning everything up. This would be NLR because the Gangster didn’t wait 3 minutes for their NLR to be over to go back to their base.

Explain “Metagaming” and give an example scenario

Metagaming is using the wrong chat for the wrong purposes. Eg: using OOC (Out Of Character) Chat to ask for help with a raid, or using /advert for non job purposes like advertising a Raid. Metagaming can also appear on the forums.

Example: A Drug Dealer gets raided by two thieves and one of the thieves does /advert Raid!!! This is advert abuse and is metagaming (MG). Also the Drug Dealer is friends with a gang nearby and does /ooc HELP ME GUYS IM GETTING RAIDED!!!!!!!! This is using /ooc (out of character) chat for a in character situation this is metagaming once again.

Explain how you would handle the following situation:

Player X accuses player Y for RDMing him, The Console log shows that player Y killed Player X.

I would bring both players to a isolated area and ask them both nicely not to talk at the same time to make this F1 as short as possible, Then I would ask player Y what happened and why is Player X accusing him of RDM ( if player Y says self defense which seems to be a easy way out of RDM F1s I would ask him for proof), then I would listen to what Player Y has to say and make a judgment weather I believe him or not after I will ask Player X to tell me what happened, after I have heard both stories if the line up together and player Y RDMed Player X I would warn him for RDM and tell him to make sure he either mugs, raids or just doesn’t Rdm. However if this was a recurring problem with a player I would give them 4 warnings and help them to raid properly or mug people properly if these are the problems.


Explain how you would handle the following situation:

Player X accuses Player Y for Breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console ( a few lines apart) at peak times

I would bring only player Y to a roof this would be to get a good convocation and be able to talk to him easier and I will ask him why did he go and kill player X while he had NLR, he wont have a valid reason but I would listen to it, and if he said that “player X Rdmed me earlier” or something like that I would explain to him that he should make an F1, if the situation was a recurring problem I would warn them but if it was just a one time thing or a miss understanding I would give player Y a verbal warning and say that if it happens again he will get a warning.

Explain How you Would handle the situation:

Player X calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided.

I would wait for the raid to be over and I would talk to the banker and tell him that what he is doing is called metagaming, if he was unaware he was doing something wrong I would give him a verbal warning but if this was a regular rule breaker and I knew he played on the server long enough to know what metagaming is I would warn them and explain to them what will happen if they do it again. Also I would tell him that he should use /pm to ask for help instead of /ooc.

Why I should be chosen (longer answer expected here – at least 150 words).

I have been playing on ZARP for nearly 2 months and I know that isn’t along time but I have learnt a lot and the biggest thing I have learnt is that there seems to be no mods on at the right times, I mean this with no disrespect all the mods do great jobs same with the admins/ super admins but there are times when I’m on and there is just mass RDM at spawn or prop block and it really ruins peoples gameplay and makes people leave, I have seen many people rage quit because of simple solvable problems. I however would like to improve that problem and help the ZARP experience of everyone be as good as possible. I am able to play for long periods of time now that I am not in school and will be able to provide long hours of calm good quality gameplay. I enjoy ZARP as it’s the only server I go on GMod and it provides me with hours of entertainment and I have made some quality friends that we are able to just meet and raid or meet and base together, I have good communication skills and I am able to control groups of people and I will be able to fix people’s problems instead of just blaming one person and leaving. I am willing to stay for any training and will learn anything you ask me to. On a down note I have to admit that I have been banned on server 1 before this was a huge misunderstanding, also I got banned on server 2 (both minor bans) this was because an admin wasn’t helping me and we had a misunderstanding, I have changed and I have learnt from all my mistakes and rarely do things wrong and if I do its normally an accident or a misunderstanding. I value all the work mods, admins and super admins do. I would love to join the community of them and help players have a better ZARP experience and build a better community.

Also I have had some experience in F1’s because I have been a witness in situations, I know how to deal with the situations Moderators get put in. I think I will be a good person for you server because I will provide hours of protection from the people who just want to ruin the server and the people who try to break rules.

I think I am a good role model and will help the ZARP staff have a better server.

(I hardly rage, try not to get myself in arguments and I try to help those that don’t have money or those who are new.)

Finally I have helped the community by advertising ZARP and I have brought someone onto the server and will continue to try and bring as many people into the server, I am considering donating and getting VIP because I enjoy ZARP so much and would like to highten my experience.
