Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin.
I feel as though my time spent as a moderator will contribute to becoming an admin as i have learned to deal with more difficult situations easier and simpler without taking up to much of the players RP time or taking up my own time so that i may finish the F1 and be ready for the next issue.
During my time as a MOD i have learned by doing various F1s that people can by very angry when they have been proven that they have broken a rule and can be very annoyed at not only the other player but will turn on you and claim that you are not doing your job properly as a MOD just because they have been warned (for whatever rule they broke) and will insult you. After experiencing this first hand and began to get more and more rude people in F1s that where being rude to me i have just learned to overlook there behaviour and carry on with my duties as a mod and to help the ZARP players.
I have also experienced that when you are in a f1 and none of the players have any proof and the logs are clean they get angry and demand the other player/players be punished and they cannot accept the fact that you cannot take their word for it and you need some manner of proof.
Most of my RP time on ZARP is took up by me being on duty and i do not mind doing F1s for hours on end and i actually enjoy doing F1s. When i do F1s its not only me doing my job as a MOD ON DUTY but to develop my relations with the ZARP players/Community which is what i love to do and i do not mind doing a tall. I also prefer being on duty as a love to help people more than just RP.
Summary
I think that me playing on the server every day and being on duty every day has given me a peek to what being a ADMIN on ZARP is all about
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user).
A difficult situation i had to work around was when a gangster was RDM by a mutant and that the gangster had a milkor in his hotbar and that he had lost it and claimed it was my responsibility to give him a full refund of the weapons that he had lost the only thing i could do in this situation was warn the mutant and continue on doing my job. After marking the F1 as finished i went on to my next one and it was from the same player that asked for the refund. The reason for this F1 was ‘Highlander give me back my Fu..ing weapons back i then tp to him and try to further explain to him that i cannot do anything about your weapons i told him to have a good day and then moved on to my next issue.
If you had to write an email to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?
I would first welcome him to the ZARP team i would then explain as much as it is fun and enjoyable there are certain rules and commonsense that even you as a MOD should follow and if you abuse your powers out of a Moderator situation you may be demoted by the other staff members.
Here are some of the commands that you will have access to as a Moderator
The ability to teleport a player.
This is commonly used to bring over a player that is involved in the Moderator situation. You should never TP a member of staff without asking first.
The ability to freeze a player
This command should only be used if a player keeps running away from you in a Moderator situation.
The ability to teleport/goto to another player
This is most commonly used at the start of a F1 situation (to go to the other player that made the F1).
The ability to warn a player
This command is commonly used by all the staff members and should not be used for out of Moderator situations and does require a little commonsense to use this command.
The ability to kick a player
This is by far the most powerful command that the Moderator has access to and should be used wisely as this command cannot be taken back once used on a player.
These commands should not be used for in character situations and only be used for Moderator situations.
If you ever need advice on what to do as a MOD you should as a member of staff before doing so. Thanks for reading this and welcome to the staff team.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
If it was not me how issued the ban i would not do anything. However if it was my decision i would say
In regards to your apology that you have wrote in great detail and you have clearly learned from your mistakes i will reduce your ban from permanently to a 3 day ban.
Why I should be promoted (longer answer expected here - at least 150 words).
As i have been Moderator i have learned to handle F1s more quicker and more efficiently as i done them . But as Moderator i have limited commands/powers and this makes my job more harder and more time consuming and does not only waste my time but wastes the players RP time as well. A recent example was i got a f1 saying that this base had 5 fadeing doors and was also FDA also when i asked him to let me in just to check it out just to see if it was ok he said F off to me. This also proves that players do not take Moderators as serious as they would do with a admin if i had to be given admin status i would definitely not abuse my powers as i have not done so with my Moderator status . I have had admin status before as i mentioned on my Mod app sadly most of the servers are dead but i was admin on them and i do know what all of the commands are and do. If u had to be given Admin status i would be able to handle F1s more smoother and more Quicker.
Just like to say
i am very active on ZARP and i am constantly on duty and extremely hard working and always doing F1s to help out my colleagues and the ZARP community whenever possible.
Thanks once again for reading my application and will be looking forward to feedback and comments.
