An example of valid RP reasons to kill would be*Getting shot at* *Police trying to arrest /raid you* *People raiding your base* Invalid reasons would be*He called you a name* *He doesn't like you generally* *anything said in OOC which could be offensive* So here is a example of RDM. Player A walks into player B's shop, he wants some guns and asks to buy some, Player B tells him he is building so he can't so player A whips out a different gun and kills him. That is a case of RDM. Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario. NLR means New Life Rule, which means when dead, you can not return to the area of death for the amount the NLR timer has (which is currently 3 minutes). You also forget everything from your past life, meaning if you knew a police raiding you, you would no longer know he was raiding you, you would also forget your killer. Though their is a special case regarding police jobs, as they can break NLR in the PD (meaning if they died in the police building, they could return regardless) An example of NLR would be: Player A walks into a KOS area, Player B pops up and tries to kill him but Player A kills him, then player B who is currently angry, decides to go back as-soon as he died and kills player A, since he did not wait for his time to run out and he shouldn't actually know he is being raided, that would be a case of NLR. Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario. Metagaming. which is normally abbreviated to MG by players, is the mixing of OOC chat and IC chat, a example of this would be "Player A says in OOC: Come meet me at bank so we can raid dem guys" would be a act of MG, and if player B actually came to him because of that OOC chat, he would also be breaking MG" Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x. Firstly I would continue to check the logs to see if they were talking prior to the death and see if I could get the reason for the RDM from these potential lines of chat, If I could not I would ask player y why he killed player x, and then ask player x what happened when he was killed, if it turned out Y had a valid backed-up reason for killing x, I would not punish him but would advise player X to re-read the rules so this does not happen again, but if player Y did RDM X, I would warn him for RDM and watch for other F1's regarding him, and I would also tell him to re-read the rules, Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time. I would ask player X at what time he believes player Y broke NLR, and ask player Y what time he died prior to breaking NLR, I would also ask a admin to check if he had a NLR timer when breaking NLR, if it turned out he was breaking NLR I would warn him and re-direct him to the rules, if proven not I would redirect player X to the rules and let Y go, if it turns out I cannot get any stable evidence to suggest he did or did not break NLR, I would send them both off and watch player Y to see if he breaks any rules Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided I would firstly verbally warn the banker for MG, and tell him to not do so in the future as it is a punishable offence, I would then TP to the banks location and watch to see if anybody comes over to attack the raiders, if anybody did I would take them over and ask them if they have any IC reason to attack those raiders, if they do not I would warn them for MG and re-direct them to the rules, if they have a IC reason backed-up with evidence I would let them continue, if it turns out that many people came out to defend this bank I would also warn the banker for MG, as he has caused many others to MG as well. Why I should be chosen (longer answer expected here - at least 150 words). I think I should be chosen to be a moderator because I have many traits a moderator generally needs, I am calm which I believe would help as F1's can become frustrating and cause fights, I am also patient and not-biased which I believe are all good traits of a moderator, I also know an extensive amount of the commands both moderators and admins use. I have also been a member of the community for about 1 year now, although I have had many inactive periods I know the community very well and how the server runs, as-well as a very good knowledge of the rules, I know a lot of the rules and if they were broken or not and I think this is very important, and I also want to help the community, as many have been kind to me and I want to keep it that way as a lot of people quit because of “too much RDM” or “Too much random-demote” and I dislike this and believe I could help reduce that. And finally, I am extremely active, I am on at-least 4 hours a day every day and I spend a lot of that time with other members of the community, I am motivated to help people whenever they need it and have experience as being a moderator of other games, such as Minecraft and in another game called “Mount & Blade Warband” I was a admin of a server. |

First and foremost, we'd like to thank you for making the effort to apply for a rank on the ZARP Semi Serious DarkRP. Your application has been discussed at an administrative meeting, and from there it has been voted on.
As the number of 'yes' votes exceeded the number of 'no' votes you received, you have been accepted.. Towards the bottom there is a button leading you to a download of a 'welcome pack' (moreso intended for new moderators) - this will give you a brief insight into your duty and how to do it, but before we can give you your rank you will have to attend a training session. You can ask any superadmin for your training.. You need to attend a weekly meeting on our Teamspeak server (IP is 94.23.19.200), it would also be appreciated if you can click the banner in my signature and add me on steam so that we can manage the meetings more easily. Congratulations on behalf of the administrative team. |
