Explain "random deathmatch" and give an example scenario.
Random deathmatch is when someone kills another player without a valid rp reason to.
This can occur if a player gets angry at another player and kills him, if a player is new and many
other reasons.
Example: Player x decides he is going to become a cop. When he becomes a cop,he
begins patrolling and player y sees that Player x is a cop so player y kills player x just because he is a cop.
Explain "new life rule" and give an example scenario.
New life rule is the rule that when a player dies, they cannot return to the place in which they died
for a set amount of time (3 minutes for zarp).Mainly, this rule states you must forget all factors of your previous life.This can occur if someone gets angry that they died and returns to avenge themselves. There are many more reasons like when someone is new.
Example: Player x decides he is going to raid a base. When he starts to pick the door, Player y (in this
case the base owner) comes out and sees him picking the door so player y kills player x.Player x gets angry
because he was killed so he returns before waiting the set amount of time (3 minutes),kills player y and takes his stuff.
Explain "metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Metagaming is where someone exploits the map and sees things (drugs/printers) through walls.Or like when someone says something RP related in the ooc chat (Out Of Character).There are many ways to metagame and its not really a big problem.
Example: Player x is a cop.He is patrolling around an area and he sees through a wall in a glitch and finds that the base owner is printing money.He gets a warrant for the base owner (player y), runs in, arrests player y, and destroys his printers.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for rdming him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
I would check the logs to see if player y has killed player x.If player y has killed player x, I would bring them both to a calm spot and ask player x exactly what happened. Once player x has finished, I would ask player y the same question. Once player y finishes I would judge whether it was rdm or not and if it was I would warn player y for rdm. If it was a mistake and player x didn't realise it wasn't rdm I'd tell him to pay more attention next time. If player y was continuously rdming(mass RDM),I would alert an admin that he mass rdmed since as a mod I cant do bans.If in the event that I cant reach a conclusion,I would ask for evidence. If there was no proper evidence, I would let player y go and tell player x to have backed up evidence next time.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
I would check logs to see how close the kills where and if close enough to be nlr, I would bring both players
to a calm spot and ask player x exactly what happened.Once he finished I'd ask player y the same question.Once he finished I'd judge to see whether player y has actually nlred.Again however, if player x had just failed to see that player y has waited the time to come back to the place then I'd simply tell player x to be more careful and have more proof next time he puts out an f1.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided.
I would not bring him to a calm location but I would tell him he needs to advert things like that. Metagaming isn't that bad and doesn't really need an f1 as its mostly new players who don't know rules like that.
Why I should be chosen:
I think I should be chosen as a moderator because I absolutely love ZARP. I never play on any other RP server even though I don't like the downtown map.ZARP's community is great and very friendly. I love helping out players and showing them how to have fun and still follow the rules. I would never take to a persons side and be biased just because I don't like the other.I would never like to take charge and abuse my power as a mod nor would I ignore my place as mod.I've never been banned from a zarp server or any for that matter and I've also never been a mod. I never apply for mod but I feel like I want to become one and what better place to?
