Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
Random Death Match or commonly known as "RDM" is where a player is killed with no known reason, and no RP reason, unless the following happens :
You are killed by a mutant who was in the sewers with you, therefor you are KOS to them.
Or you are killed by a mutant on the surface, because if you or someone else attacks them first on the surface (because mutants are KOS on the surface) then they do have the rights to kill you in self defence.
Or if you are raiding and get killed by someone trying to protect their base.
There is also something called "CDM" where someone gets randomly killed (like RDM) just the killed used a car to kill you (running you over).
If you are being mugged, then the person mugging you do the command /me Drop [Amount of $1-$4000] or die. If you attack them in that situation, that is fearRP, which is against the rules, and they have a right to kill you, but may also report you. Or if you simply don't give them the money, then they have a right to kill you.
Example :
Bob is killed my Mary, though there is no hit on Bob, Bob is not wanted (And the police can't kill someone if they are wanted anyway, unless the person who is wantedthey shoots at the police first) and Bob is not a mutant, or in a raid. Therefor that was RDM.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
New Life Rule or commonly known as NLR, is where a player may be in a raid and gets killed, they get an NLR timer which starts at 3 minutes (You get an NLR timer whenever you die), which means they can't go back until those 3 minutes are up, not following that rule is called "Breaking NLR", which you could get a warning or a verbal warning for. It is against the rules to break NLR, because if someone kept dying in a raid, and they kept coming back then it gives them an advantage.
Example :
Bob is in a raid as a police officer, because the "scanner" may have detected some illegal items, so the police would make warrant, make them wanted, etc. And the police would be raiding that place. Bob walks in, and finds the illegal items. He keeps walking to report them and destroy them, and gets killed doing so. He wants to go back and destroy them, and arrest the person to get the money for arresting them, he just walks in there, within the 3 minutes of dying. Which means Bob is breaking NLR.
This also occurs to hitmen.
James the Hitman, gets a hit for 1,000,000 to kill Joshua(could be any number). He really wants that money, so he gets his gun out, and hunts down that player. James finally finds Joshua in a building, lines up his shot and gets killed by Joshua. James is desperate for the money so he goes in their and kills Joshua after he respawned, within the 3 minutes of getting killed. Therefor James broke NLR, and may get a warning or a verbal warning.

Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Metagaming, where the person who is Metagaming, may say or do something which gives them an advantage in the game (Not in a good way, like if he got a new gun,
NOT Metagaming) . People might use Out Of Character chat (OOC) to shout out if they need help in a raid, or if they want to meet up with someone, or if they are being raided, and so on...
Example :
Bob says in OOC, that he is being raided at main street in the hotel on the second floor, and he needs help. This gives Bob an advantage, as someone may come and help and Bob wins, therefor Bob gets an unfair advantage (unfair to other players). Bob would then get a warning or a verbal warning for his Metagaming
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
First of all, I would check the logs to see if x was actually killed, if not I would warn him for abusing f1.
If they was killed, then I would take x to a non-rp area, ask x who killed him, then I would check the logs again, to see if they was killed by that player, if so then I would carry on, I would first ask x to explain everything which happened, then I would ask y about everything which happened, if they both said different things, then I would ask x for any proof (videos, pictures etc.). If they don't have any proof, + I didn't see it happen. I would also ask if their was any witnesses. If there were none, or they still told a different story to the other two, then their may be nothing I could do. I would also look at their jobs, if x was a mutant, and x says he was killed on the street, then obviously it wouldn't be RDM (read mutant rules). If x was killed in a building I would check for a KOS sign, and just in case they were trying to trick me into thinking it was their all along, I would look again, for when x died, and when the KOS textscreen was created. I would also consider thinking about if x was killed in the PD as a job from "The Bad" section, and y was a police officer, I would check to see if y was saying "Get out" and stuff like that, and I would also ask x if he was in a raid at all. If they did have proof(
IF they did) (As that is extremely helpful at times, when they tell different stories) I would look at the proof, and decide from there. If it all adds up that y RDM'd x, then I would give y a warning and explain that he can't RDM. And I would explain to y about the RDM rules.
If this was MASS RDM though and y killed a lot of people, with a lot of witnesses, then I would warn y, possibly ban for an hour or two
or worse, and contact an admin or superadmin, and see what happens from there.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
I would first check the logs to see when y died, then I would look for when x died, and who they were killed by. If in the logs it says y was killed by x, then x was killed by y within those 3 minutes, then I would know he broke NLR, but then I would check to see if y was a police officer, and x was raiding the PD, as I'm pretty sure police can break NLR if its in the PD, at least that's what I've seen from the rules, and forum posts my admins.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
I would first do this : // Don't Metagame, do it again.
(Possibly give him a warning right there, depends where and how serious it is) But if they did it again, I would teleport them to a quiet, non-RP area (rooftops or something) And I would tell them about what Metagaming is, and why they shouldn't do it, I would tell him "Do you understand now?", and I would give him a warning/verbal warning.
And if he did it again I would teleport him to a non-RP area again, and say "I thought you said you understand?", and then call another moderator or an admin/superadmin over to the situation.
Why I should be chosen (longer answer expected here - at least 150 words).
I think I would be a lovely edition to the ZARPgaming team, as I am on the server at least 2 hours a day, on the website
TONS. I am also I kind and understanding person, though I do take racism and sexism very seriously. I don't get angry about videogames, so I shouldn't get out of control calling people re*ards, or c**ts, and so on ( I also take those seriously), in fact, I don't approve with swears anyway, so you won't hear or see me being disrespectful, and mean. I have also invited a new player to the server (Epicflyjack) and I know he loves the server, I have also told him about the server, the rules, or the exciting and wonderful things you can do on ZARP, he even knows how to do f1's now, so he can finally report the RDM'ers at the mines, as he likes to mine (He's a Minecraft lover,
). I think I know the rules well enough, I think I'm kind towards other players, I understand all of the job's roles, and things they
CAN/CAN'T DO . I also know that I don't break rules (sorry about the other application, it was still only my 3rd post or so, so I didn't know there was rules to applications). I love ZARP gaming (and that is true, unlike some people trying to apply, who turn out they do trolling videos or something).
So I think I would love to be a moderator, and I would also be proud to have that role, to also be a role model to others.
I also hope I could also meet new people, learn new skills, and be a good, rewarding moderator.
Thank you for your time of reading this,
The Gamer Guy.
If there's anything you think I missed, I should be able to add it within 24 hours
