Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
Random Death Match is when a player kills another player for no apparent reason, it also has the alias RDM, which some may use in a hurry. A scenario could be when someone is completing a quest and a player comes and attacks them, not necessarily killing them.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
New life rule is the rule that when you die you have 'no memory' of the past, or at least, act like it. Scenario: Someone walks up to a base which they discovered before being killed, when they should have no clue there was anything there, however, police may still be able to track down wanted players if they killed them.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Meta gaming is when you use pre found knowledge to your own advantage, such as gun statistics, or animal damage, so the player has a unfair advantage. Scenario: Player walks down street (in chat) "You can't kill me because my armour protects me from your hits." (just a example)
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
I would check for witnesses, and then I would check for the active weapon (if any) of player x. If none of this worked, I would ask a superior staff member to help, as I don't have the resources to sort the situation.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
I would try to find the co-ordinates or chat the players may have met in in the past life, and carry on from there, working out what punishment is required.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
If I was in Mod On Duty mode, I would ignore it, if I was a citizen, I would most likely ignore it too, whereas if I was a Guard, would help, as it wouldn't be RDM'ing.
Why I should be chosen (longer answer expected here - at least 150 words).
I have lots of experience on Garry’s mod, 59 hours, to be precise, and outside of the game, I have spent around 400-500 ours administrating and moderating a game, in a highly professional manner. This means I am accustomed to people whining, or accusing me of abusing, if I was actually doing the right thing.
I will often put aside playing for working as I feel happier helping others than playing a game for my own enjoyment. I can be active mostly, but really, Life > Games, there is always that priority, that is, however, (hopefully) my only weakness, so I can work hard and productively, be active, and most importantly, be helpful and kind.
I feel that the server has far too many people disobeying the RDM and NLR rules, and also think that having more staff, more capable staff, to help run the server without these annoyances ruining the players gameplay, and overall reducing the player count considerably, I feel I can be suited to this and can work effectively with the other staff members to create a kind and friendly community.
