Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario
Random Death Match (better known as RDM) means that you killed someone without any proof of whether or not that person is/was a traitor. An example would be shooting someone because he was near a(n) (unidentified) body. He could've simply missed it or just happened to walk around in the same area.
Give three examples of an acceptable KOS and its scenario
A few good reasons to KOS someone is if you see him kill a person and not ID check the body, since this indicates that he didn't want the kill to be known. Seeing someone go into the traitor room is also a good reason to KOS, and so is seeing someone with a Traitor weapon, like a Newton Launcher or C4.
As for an example scenario, imagine an innocent (Party A) seeing a suspected traitor (Party
. A sees B put down some C4 and activating it in a hidden spot. A now has a valid reason to shoot B. A should consider that B has gotten the C4 from killing a traitor if he puts it in the middle of a bunch of people.
Give two examples of unacceptable KOS and their scenarios
A bad time to call out a KOS is if a person sees people carrying around identified bodies. The body has been identified, and is most likely not gonna be looked at anymore, except if a Detective uses his DNA Scanner. Another bad reason would be if you see someone carrying around the same weapon used to kill a person. Multiple copies of every weapon exists on the map, so that doesn't mean this particular person killed someone with that weapon.
A scenario for example 1 would be someone picking up a body after it's been identified (and DNA scanned), and playing around with it (throwing it up and down). He can't just be shot for that, because the person that got killed has been added to the confirmed deaths (and the detective has DNA on the killer).
For scenario 2, imagine 5 people being in the room, finding a corpse. The person that got killed got killed with a MAC10. D has a MAC10, but that doesn't immediately make him the killer, as a traitor could've used a MAC10 and thrown it away after use.
Why I should be chosen (longer answer expected here - at least 150 words)
I believe I should be chosen for multiple reasons. These being:
- I was a Super Admin on the server before
- I have experience with dealing with rule breakers and the like
- I interact a lot with the players.
I got promoted after 2 weeks of being a moderator to an admin, and into a Super Admin 2 weeks after that. I was a Super Admin on the server for 3(-4?) months, until an unpleasant bug happened and I was unable to play on any ZARP servers. That got fixed after 3 months, after which I played again for 1 month before losing interest in Garry's Mod.
However, now that I'm back and interested in playing Trouble in Terrorist Town again, I got told to apply again. I don't know why, since I never saw myself as an extremely good Admin, but I figured I should do it anyway, since the TTT server was quite empty with only Chris being online to manage RDM's and the like.
I use my own system when it comes to punishing players, which depends heavily on the amount of kills or amount of times a rule got broken. With RDM, I tend to slay people if they killed 1 person for the next round and tell them what they did wrong, with 3 kills I slay them for 2 rounds. If they have 5 kills, I kick them. If they come back and RDM, or have 7+ kills in that 1 round that were all RDM, I ban him for 12 hours. If he repeats his rule breaking, I ban him up to 1 week. If problems still occur after that, I simply permanently ban them. (I hope this all made at least a bit of sense). With all the different kinds of rules I use about the same system. Sometimes they vary due to how bad the rule following is.
