Explain how you feel that your time as a Moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin.
My time here on ZARP as a Moderator has made me see a whole new side to ZARP from the staff point of view. I can now sympathise with staff and understand why at times it gets a little stressful. This makes me want to help out as much as I can to help the admins with F1's and help both new and old players understand ZARP better. As Moderator I have learnt how to deal with situations effectively and efficiently I feel leaving both sides of a dispute happy with a result. I have always asked alot of question about potential loop holes within some rules by asking admins online and they have helped me by explaining and I have passed this information down to the players so they do NOT make the same mistake again and as well as pass this on to other Mods who may not be aware of some of these loop holes.
When I come online on ZARP I would say I would at least do 45 minutes + of MoD by helping out with F1's and helping the community by helping them make their bases rule worthy and not just warn them straight off the bat. I have learnt how to deal with 'hard' players by being able to tell if they are lying or not when a person has got RDM'd and if the player is aware of certain rules. I feel that I have learnt alot from being Mod and I would love to help future Mods understand certain rules better and even learn from what they have to say. I have adapted to work under pressure when there are many F1's and not so many other Mods online and still deliver the same result but quicker. I have also learnt how to manage mass amounts of players when I get called for a F1 and there are many players about. This allows me to handle difficult F1's when alot of people are complaing at once.
Explain a situation as a Moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user).
The hardest situation to deal with when as a Moderator for me is demotions. As a Mod I am not able to set the jobs of people. One of the ways I overcome this is by using the /switchjob command. Yesterday I had a F1 where a Gun Dealer wanted me to freeze his props so as a Mod im not able to and currently the shelves are not working so I suggested that he should get rid of the shelves. The server was fairly busy at this stage. I became a gun dealer and made sure there was still 2 gun dealers as he was not VIP and told him to change jobs so the shelves would de spawn and then told him to type /switchjob which then made him gun dealer again.
If you had to write an email to train a Moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?
Hello, Bill!
Congratulations on getting Mod! We are very excited to have you on team! Before you are let out into the wild in the ZARP servers please take some time to read the following: You are a Moderator of the ZARP community therefore you represent all of us so we advise you to always try your best on the ZARP server! So, Here a few commands you get as being Moderator: /TP - TP yourself to the spot at which you are pointing to. But if you add a name after you tp that person to the spot e.g. /tp jellybean69 but if you add another name /tp jellybean69 jeremy it will tp jellybean69 to jeremy! /BRING - Bring will allow you to TP a person to you! type /bring jellybean69 while looking UP to tp him to you. If you look anywhere else it will be like /TP'ing someone! /GOTO - /GOTO jellybean69 will allow you to goto jellybean69's current location! /KICK - Will allow you to kick a player. e.g. /kick jellybean69 Minging. FREEZE - This will prevent any player from moving! e.g. /freeze jellybeng69 60 SLAY - This will kill a person! e.g. /slay jellybean69 normal, silent, explode or rocket! IGNITE - This will set a player on fire! SLAP - Bash a player! e.g. /slap jellybeng 1 1 Lastly, F1! this will open a menu with a list of pending F1's. RIght click on one to either handle, goto, bring or finish! As well as the F1 Tab you are able to see warnings! Right click on a warning to revoke it! CAUTION: This does not work so dont use it! Happy gaming!, jellybean69
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban.
I would first see that if a person has put this much effort into a ban appeal he clearly wants to be back on the server. No troll would bother appealing in great lengths to get banned again. I would unban player x and respond to the post with the following:
Hello player x!, I understand that I have banned you recently for prop spamming. This will not be tolerated on the server hence the permanent ban! I am willing to unban you and give you a second chance on the basis that you will NOT be doing anything like this again! However if you are found doing it again you will be banned and with no chance of getting a unban! Have a nice day! jellybean69
Why I should be promoted (longer answer expected here - at least 150 words).
I feel I should be promoted to Admin because so far being Mod is great! You get a great feeling when someone says thanks for the help and a bad one when you cannot help a player. I want to be able to contribute more to the server by dealing with F1's which I cannot do anything about such as disconnected players props not being able to be removed as there are no admins on, Banning players which deserve to be banned e.g. players who leave the game while talking to them about a serious F1 such as Multiple counts of RDM and mass prop spam in spawn. I am a very active player and play every night and look forward to seeing a wide range of F1's! Theres never a day gone by thats the same in ZARP!
ZARP at the moment is a very established community and has a reputation. I want to be able to add to this by helping as many players as I can no matter what the situation is. A couple of weeks ago I started a graphics page which I made both players and admins free forum signatures. I have provided this service to some players as I have slowed down and been working on being a Mod on the server. This is one of the many ways I wish to help the server grow. I hope in the near future to do a whole new ZARP look as I feel ZARP SSRP has a new map and growing range of servers and needs a more snappy, attractive look. I thank you for reading my app! hope to see you all in game soon! <3 jellybean69 |

First and foremost, we'd like to thank you for making the effort to apply for a rank on the ZARP Semi Serious DarkRP. Your application has been discussed at an administrative meeting, and from there it has been voted on.
As the number of 'yes' votes exceeded the number of 'no' votes you received, you have been accepted. Towards the bottom there is a button leading you to a download of a 'welcome pack' (moreso intended for new moderators) - this will give you a brief insight into your duty and how to do it, but before we can give you your rank you will have to attend a training session. You can ask any superadmin for your training.. Congratulations on behalf of the administrative team. . |
