I am writing this application due to the approved rule that ex-administrators could directly apply for the administrator position, which was confirmed to me by Xhantium. My ealier made moderator application has been removed upon my request. None SSRP related information RP Name illuminatixs Link to Steam Profile http://steamcommunity.com/id/illuminatixs/ SteamID STEAM_0:1:62703687 Current Gametracker Profile http://www.gametracker.com/player/illuminatixs/94.23.19.200:27015/ Age I'm currently 18 years old. Estimated Server Time I'm currently on about 208 hours of in-game experience, refer to my gametracker for the source. Languages I speak I speak Dutch fluently because this is my native language, and I also speak English almost fluently since its my second language. ----xxx---- Promotion Related information Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin. My moderator time was quite long ago, but I got compliments about how skillfull I was as a moderator and that I was great administrator material, in my time as administrator I proved that statement to be correct as on my resignation I got complimented for my work not only by users and fellow administrators/moderators but also by one of the current community managers. I will quote some lines later on in the application about what people said exactly in my resignation post. Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user). The time I was the only staff-member online for about 2 - 3 hours, I had to take up 30+ requests on my own and even though it was quite some work and quite the obstacle it teached me alot:
If you had to write an email to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp? Hello and a warm welcome to the Zarp staff-team! In this email I will tell you all about the basic moderator commands and something about the strike system we use. Lets start with some basic commands and how to use them, each command will be explained in 4 parts:
Now that we have the 4 steps in mind lets start:
Now that you know the basic commands and how they work, you should go in game and give it a try! the best way to learn the job is to experience it at first hand. A little warning though, you are not god in-game! we use a strike system to warn and demote moderators that either are failing in their position or abusing their position. The strike system is simple, 3 strikes and you're out! Don't be scared though, strikes aren't given for little things. And before you go into the world of Zarp and help us make the server a better place for us all, remember: There is no shame in asking help from your fellow staff-members, you can use the admin chat (///) for that or just /pm. We are here to help, so we help each other too ofcourse. And don't forget to have some fun! Best of wishes, illuminatixs. Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be? I would start with reading his application closely and reflect that application with what i can remember of the situation, if its more or less the same as I can remember then I would set his ban to 24 hours so he can overthink his actions and then come back for a 2nd chance but I wil also warn him that if this happens again the ban will be set back into place. In the mean time I will give my fellow staff-members a heads up about the guy. Why I should be promoted (longer answer expected here - at least 150 words). I'm a experienced and respected ex-administrator and I think I've proven my skills on the job, after a break of a month from Zarp I think I'm full of energy again to start doing what I love again and that is helping the community out and create a better Zarp for us all to enjoy. To proof my earlier stated line "I'm a experienced and respected ex-administrator" I'd like to quote some lines from my resignation post as I said I would at the start of this application: Nameful wrote: You were the guy I was always looking up to when I decided I wanted to become a Moderator, you were my idol and one of my favourite staff members, you also helped me alot when I had questions, it's also my first time moderating a server. Thank you alot and I wish you best luck in web developing. Snupe wrote: NOO, Illuminati! You were a great friend and staff member, you'll be missed for sure. Hope you can hop back online every now and then Bye for now... The feedback supports my earlier mentioned claim, and even one of the community managers responded with kind words and an overall overview of me that supports my claim, and based upon all of this I think I should be a good choice for the administrator position. Thank you for your time. |

I think it is too soon since you have returned to apply, don't get me wrong you were a good staff member - but this is your only playtime since your long departure: Personally I would say you should have waited another week before applying. Regards, Gametracker bugged out yesterday since I was online for 140+ min but under another RP name (illuminatwix / illuminatwixs), me and i7moody were playing as S.W.A.T's for quite some time so you can count that one up with the total time. And further, to be honest with you, I wouldn't last a week as regular player. Its just so boring to be a regular player on a server you used to administrate, it just sucks the joy out of you to see so many things you used to be able to correct and now you're just walking around.. playing abit en reporting trough F1 without any way to do something that actually matters, other than help people with questions in OOC. But as far as you could see and know, I do see why you got to this conclusion but i7moody can at the very least confirm I was online longer than 24 min gametracker says I was. And further, I didn't return to apply if you read my resignation post, i resigned because i lacked time with the internship and all, but I lost less time than i expected so I came back and hope to be able to get back into my old position to continue my work. |

First and foremost, we'd like to thank you for making the effort to apply for promotion on the ZARP Semi Serious DarkRP.
Your application has been discussed at an administrative meeting, and from there it has been voted on. Here's a pie chart which contains the votes you received:
Unfortunately as more staff members voted 'no' than 'yes', you have been denied. However, the meeting host has taken some points made by the admins and provided you with this feedback: Too soon after rejoining. You are welcome to apply again at any point. Just in response to this: And further, I didn't return to apply if you read my resignation post, Read my post. That's not what I meant: I think it is too soon since you have returned to apply |
