Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
RDM is killing someone without reason and is classified as "Fail RP" and against the rules in the majority of servers.
Example: Hitman sees a SAS running back to the Police Department after a successful bust. Hitman decides to use the AWP he has with him, to snipe the SAS in the back of the head because he simply finds the Police in general to be annoying.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
NLR is something that takes affect immediately upon being killed. Your previous life essentially is forgotten. You don't remember that the thief you tried to raid ended up blowing your brains out. On the majority of servers it is against the rules to return to a place near your death point, before a certain time period.
A common example of NLR is during raids. You're a cop, your scanner has told you there are illegal money printers in the building and you decide to sort them out. You break down the door, only to receive a pleasant welcome from the house owner who's customary greeting, is with bullets. Upon respawning, you immediately run back to the house to give it another go. You have now broken NLR, and chances are an admin will be talking to you quite soon.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Metagaming is the use of "Out of character" chat, to talk and/or coordinate with people you either shouldn't be able to, or just anyone that's listening. An example of this is typing in OOC to a gangster that his house is in danger from the approaching Police horde. This is roleplay. There is no telepathy in real life, so there shouldn't be here, either.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
I would ask player x if s/he has any evidence to support his/her claim. After their response of "No." I will proceed to show them that the logs do not match their story, and see what they have to say to that. If the issue remains unsolved, I shall teleport player y to our location and ask for their side of the story. If it turns out that player x actually RDM'd player y, then player x shall receive a warning. If it turns out that player y admits to killing him but not RDM, then player y will be teleported back to where he was before, and player x shall be told to not start false F1's, and be warned if he/she does it again.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
I shall teleport to player y and explain the report made against him/her. I will then ask for them to tell me what NLR means. If they can do that, I give them a warning and that is that. If they fail, I shall ask them to use /motd to read the rules again, and inform them that I will ask them what it means sometime within the next 5 minutes.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x calls for help in the OOC chat because his bank is being raided
I would teleport to player x and inform him/her that using OOC for roleplay related activities such as asking for help, or warning another player of something they see coming, is considered "Metagaming" and is against the server rules. If they do it a second time, I will give them a warning.
Why I should be chosen:
I have about 325 hours on record for Garry's Mod and about 100 or more of them have been spent as a head admin on a succesful server called "Frozen Players" that had an average of 60-90 players daily.
I have also been admin on servers for other games and have always been respected as a trustworthy and helpful user in whichever community I have been a part of.
I am quite familiar with the rules of the server, and believe my sleep routine means I am online when plenty of admins are not (like at the time of making this, there are no admins on the server, but there is about 20 people playing)
I am very mature (even for the standards of someone in their 20's) and out of all my time playing on the server I have never once been considered annoying, cheating, rude, or a "fail roleplayer". (to my knowledge anyway...)
I understand all servers run slightly differently to one another, and would have no problems adjusting to fit the high quality Moderator(perhaps even eventually admin) that is expected by the ZARP staff and general community alike.
Thanks for reading!
