Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
Random Death Match (Abbreviated to RDM) is the act of killing a person or persons for a reason that is unrelated to roleplay. This rule is enforced on many different gamemodes, TTT, DarkRP, Murder, and many more. The point of RDM is simple. It stops people causing havoc and ruining other peoples fun, would you like it if someone shot you, and you lost your guns? I wouldn't.
Examples:
Christopher is walking along picking flowers, Smallville comes up to him and stabs him in the face for no apparent reason, then walks away.
Smallville is a cop walking along, someone who is wanted follows the cop then shoots him even though the cop has not acknowledged his presence or given and form of chase.
Christopher is a hobo. He throws one dirtball at the ground. Somebody kills him for throwing one. He would have to throw many and be warned before any physical action could be allowed.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
New Life Rule (Abbreviated to NLR) is a rule that prohibits any user from returning to their place of death when they die. The time period involved varies from server to server, but on ZARP it is 3 minutes (180 seconds.) It also states you must forget anything that happened in your last life. This rule is enforced on DarkRP and PERP (As far as I am aware, these are the only two main ones.) This rule is in place to help raiders, as the defenders could return and kill them if this wasn't in place.
Examples:
Exrobite kills Christopher in a raid. Christopher comes back and kills Exrobite. Exrobite is crying, Chris is warned.
Chris has formed a gang to raid the PD, the cops are killed, Chris escapes and is not wanted. A cop Chris killed arrests him and claims: 'I remember him.' This is NLR as he did not forget.
Chris is RDMed. Chris returns to his area of death. This is NLR as he should leave it to the admin to handle.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario.
Metagaming has no abbreviation, it is a rule prohibiting the use of third party programs (or just OOC) to communicate about ingame events. It is also know as Ghosting, and is in effect on TTT, DarkRP, PERP, and many other gamemodes. On ZARP it is limited to strictly the OOC chat, so you can use Skype/Teamspeak to communicate. This rule is to stop people having an advantage because they know where people are and people don't know where they are.
Examples:
Christopher wants to run a gunshop, he types: "// Come to my gunshop!" When is should be: "/advert Come to my gunshop!"
Smallville is defending, he is killed, and calls in OOC for police to go to his house.
Exrobite is talking to his friend, he is being raided, he cries in OOC, Friend i'm being raided!
Why I should be chosen (longer answer expected here - at least 150 words)
I feel that the standard of administration in ZARP has declined, I am here to change that. I have served as Admin for over 3 months at ZARP, I know what I am doing. I can approach each case in it's own different way, I am dynamic in the way I do things, i'm ready for anything, I believe in a 5 point administrating style. Bring the suspect, ask them what happened, try to piece together the facts, interrogate them futher, then ask for proof. I ask for proo last because I beleive if the suspect knows there is no proof against them. They will lie about it. This strategy is adaptable, and the points are interchangeable to suit the offense. I am friendly, and not afraid to go that extra mile to ensure every single person is having a pristine roleplay experience. I am becoming more active, and the spark for administrating has been reignited. I know what i'm doing. I see RDMs, NLRs, CDMs go unnoticed. I am here to change it. I love assisting people, and banning rulebreakers is oh-so satisfying. I am not just here to help people. I am here to help the community as a whole develop, and I will nourish it, the staff are the fertilizer that helps the plant grow. I can be top brand, not some shoddy knock off you bought at aldi for 99p. My skillset is developing everyday as I am in early GCSE days, I can be sophisticated in game, and maintain a persona about me that emanates professionalism. I can, and will, be dedicated, and I hope my time in the field already says something about the future. I'm back baby!
