RP Name: Johnny Gat
Link to Steam Profile: steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198120630898 SteamID: STEAM_0:0:80182585 Age: 19 Estimated Server Time: 23 hours according to GameTracker Languages I speak: English Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario: More commonly known as "RDM", is when one player on the server kills another player, without reason, or an unacceptable reason, or even just outside of their role on the RP Server. The "Without reason" is kind of obvious, not needing much of an explanation. An unacceptable reason may be (Which is more common than you would think) "He looked at me funny"......... Another example, this one being for outside of the players role, would be... A Gun Dealer mugging someone, and murdering the player for not giving him money. I would punish the player by giving him a warning for "RDM", and inform him of what he did wrong, and tell him how he should do it next, or if the player should do it at all. Considering the player only gets 3 warnings, he/she will be kicked from the server if he/she RDM's 3 times in a session. Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario. More often known as "NLR", is a rule stating that when killed (Excluding RDM), you may not return to your previous location for 5 minutes, and you are to forget everything that happened before your death. You do not know who killed you. You do not know why. You don't remember anything that you had done. For example... You are a Thief. Someone placed a bounty on your head of $10,000. A Hitman comes in and blows your head off. When you come back to life, you don't remember that Hitman doing that. You cannot assault him. You cannot confront him at all. You cannot place a bounty on his head yourself. In this situation, I would simply warn the player for "NLR". By continuing to do so, he/she will be frozen until his "NLR" time is up, or Jail him/her. Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario. Metagaming is when someone witnesses something, and lets people know through OOC, sharing screenshots, or any other way that isn't finding them and telling them in person, in-game. This also includes telling people to meet you somewhere, through OOC and actions along the lines of that. An example of explanation 1 may be, a thief is looking for a house to break in to, or is just walking about and notices that someone that isn't a banker has money printers or a nice base. He open up his chat using "Y" and types "/ooc This person has money printers in his base. Lets take them". An example of explanation number 2 may be anyone typing "/ooc Looking for someone to raid with me, meet at spawn" In this situation, I would hand out a warning for "Metagaming" to the player, and inform him/her that they cannot do what they are doing. If they continue, I will give another warning. 3 warnings and they will be kicked from the server. Why I should be chosen (longer answer expected here - at least 150 words). I am a 19 year old with a lot of free time. I have a year and a half - 2 years off before I head to University for Mineral Resource Engineering. So by me taking that, I can only assume it's obvious that I am not stupid or immature. Although I am not immature, I do like to have fun talking to people and am not extremely boring. I have a lot of experience in moderating and administrating forums and servers. I have only moderated one Garry's Mod server, which I left because it was absolutely dead after a while. I have owned/co-owned and administrated many Minecraft, World of Warcraft, RuneScape and Diablo II servers. I know what it takes to be staff on a game and I know that if I were you, I wouldn't want someone who doesn't know what they are doing, moderating my server. Also, I am using some pretty nice grammar and punctuation. This isn't me being a try-hard to make me look good and get the spot. I have to type nicely like this or I will lose my mind. I suppose I can also add that I am patient and know how to handle situations involving more than 1 person in a game. Thanks for reading! -Brian/Johnny Gat |

I know my opinion won't really matter, but I wanna express it anyways.
I have seen you in game once or twice, you seem like a good guy, but I think you should get at least 50-60hrs playtime before applying for Mod. You are still pretty new in the community and nobody really knows you. I suggest you apply again in about 2-3 weeks if you get denied now. |

(: I am trying my hardest to get known around the server. I think I have gotten an additional 8-12 hours since I posted this. I am trying to get involved with people as much as I can, like opening a gun shop partnership, raiding, etc. as well as answering as many questions as I can in /ooc to help out the current staff. I actually so far have been able to answer every question on /ooc that I have seen. |
