Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario: Random Death Matching. The most bannable phrase used in modern Dark RP. When people can't be bothered giving that simple bit of RP to role play a situation without blasting them in the head. Everything you do in Dark RP is roleplay, and should be roleplayed. Holding down your mouse button and hoping it all to go well NEVER happens. EX: Someone who hasn't read the rules may find the AUG in the Weapon Dealership to have alot of recoil and wonder how many he can kill with it at spawn. He is mistaken as that is RDM.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario: The New Life Rule is more commonly know as breaking NLR. Basically if you die, you have to wait on average 3 minutes before returning to that location. It makes sense as you are dead and shouldn't really know where that location is. EX: Godfather breaks into Gundealers business, he kills gundealer and in rage gundealer comes back to kill Godfather, he breaks NLR and is punished for breaking that rule.
Explain "Metagaming" and give an example scenario: Meta Gaming is one rule which every new player won't even realise exists. In terms of basic reputation, if you speak about the game or about your Roleplay character 'IN CHARACTER; that is fine, but if you continue the conversation 'OUT OF CHARACTER' (OOC) then you are metagaming. New players should be reminded that they should use /advert to speak their IN CHARACTER opinions and use /OOC when discussing terms like RDM or NLR.
Extra Info: I am a keen Roleplayer and usually play alot of the Arma 2 /3 RP games. I have stuck by Garys mod for about 2 years making sure not to forget Dark RP. I had taken a break to complete my A-Levels, and found ZARP when i returned.. Currently i am a Student and Part Time Sale Assistant and try to RP game as much as possible.
My friends called me the counsellor as i know what to say in all situations and always sort out the unfriendly problems. I always listen to both sides and if i don't witness something myself will gather the evidence required to push on the correct decision. I <3 Roleplay
Reason: I would like to be a Moderator for many reasons, but the main are explained below:
I love to RP every role, not just the extra fun ones. This means that admins are situated within the game and are playing roles that aren't usually situated by admins thus allowing everyone to have fun. I like ZARP and their logic on RP and would like to favour that so that more players are experiencing high maturity and real roleplay. I would also love to give some admins a break. As laying back and enjoying a solid case of Roleplay while not needing to respond to calls is always required. I would also like to help the recent players know that this server is one to stay with and not leave because of low maturity or silly decisions.
I have been a moderator for a few servers in the past few years, but i can only remember the name of one as it was my last. Accro Gaming (orginal) had many of the Garrys mod Players on it. This is a server that is quite like ZARP today, but sadly through the course of its life moderators and Admins became power hungry and when they didn't like something they best destroyed the server and then left. This happened in several occasions until players left and never came back. I can see today that the new Accro still struggle to get players as its old credit is holding it back.
I really enjoyed keeping the peace on that server as there is nothing worse that playing without any kind of staff and after a while you think its Call of Gmod (Do not make a new gamemode, this is my idea. £100 to become yours) Anyways, if there can be any relief I can take some of the work load of the strained job of Admins and Mods have to do at the moment. I find it unneccessary for all Mods and Admins to be on Duty all the time and/or answering requests as we are all here for roleplay.
