Have you ever been administrator/moderator on any other communities? Own servers excluded.
I used to moderate a few servers under the name 'Flashjam', which were simple and basic sandbox servers. Though I'm not sure if the group still exists today.
What is your current rank?
Regular
Knowledge of the rules (only for roleplay)
What does NLR mean? Give atleast 1 example situation.
NLR means 'New Life Rule'. Under the effects of New Life Rule, you are to forget the events of your past life, which means you're not supposed to immediately return to the area you just died in, (Unless via OOC means.) or go after the person that just killed you. An example, would be that you just got shot dead by a Thief as he/she was raiding your base. You are not allowed to return to the base that the thieves are raiding for a certain time period, nor are you to go after the thief yourself.
What does RDM mean? Give atleast 1 example situation.
RDM stands for 'Random Death match'. This basically means going around killing other players without reason. An example to this would be obtaining a gun as a Citizen and randomly killing other players around you without being provoked.
What does metagaming mean? Give atleast 1 example situation.
Metagaming is when you use knowledge that your character wouldn't know to your advantage. An example would be pinpointing someone's location through OOC chat, or using knowledge from your past life just after getting killed that would benefit other people.
Consequences
What would you do if a player breaks NLR?
Upon hearing if someone was breaking NLR, I'd bring both players to me to hear out both sides of what happened, and see what information I can dig out to come to a conclusion. If it turns out the player was breaking NLR, I would alert him that he was breaking the rules, and give him a warning.
What would you do if a player breaks RDM?
I would bring over the victim of the 'RDM', and ask him/her what happened. Once I gather up his side of the story, I will bring the suspect over aswell for questioning, aswell as his side of the story. If the story ends up being one sided, and evidence points towards the suspect, I will give him a warning and alert him that RDM'ing is against the rules. I will not hesitate to repeat the action if the suspect continues to RDM. However, if I catch him myself, or if he's mass RDM'ing, I will not hesitate to give him a warning/kick on the spot.
Requirements for candidating
Do you have a microphone?
Yes, I do.
Can you be online atleast three/four days a week for atleast a few hours those days?
Yes.
Are you 14 or higher?
Yep.
If you don't follow the rules yourself you will get demoted and banned if needed you understand, you will dedicate to a training program and have answered each questions personally. Copied applications will be denied at once. Do you understand?
Absolutely.
Will you respect all players in both respect as disrespectful behaviour?
Indeed.
My plea for moderation
What is your added value to the community apart from taking care of grievers?
Well, aside from taking care of grievers, I think that I could be a great addition to the community if I put a lot of effort into it, aside from having fun and a laugh with other members of the community. I think I can be a great help to those in need, from teaching those how to do a specific task, or help them around the server, especially along with the basics of the server and the server rules. Aside from helping new players around the server, I will mostly always be alert to reports and alerts for those in need, so my overall goal is to make sure everyone on the server has a good time and enjoys themselves, instead of being mistreated and abused by rule breakers. As I am usually active nowadays, chances are if I'm available I'll be active pretty much throughout the entire day if required, so I'll probably be always floating around if anyone desires help.
Have you had enough community bonding so far? Like what?
I've bonded with many members before and after the revival of ZARP, knowing most of the current Mods and Admins so far, and even made friends with other members along the way. I usually talk to some of the community outside of the servers aswell, so I feel that I've bonded fine with the regulars.
What do you expect from your mentor/training? (atleast 150 words)?
I expect to learn the ropes on how to be a good moderator on the server, as well as good, memorable times along the journey. I see this as a chance to help out and branch out to other players along with the staff, along with getting to know more possible friends and acquaintances. Along with the experience that I'd also receive as to being a moderator if I do earn a spot on the server, I hope to see myself go a long way with ZARP, in terms with support and the like. I can't promise that I'll be on every single waking minute of my life, but I'm ready to devote my time into helping out around the server and the community, and training along with this will only make me even better at it, because I also know many other members and staff of the ZARP community will help me along the lines aswell as telling me what to do and what to enforce.
